Target Corporation is planning a new organic and natural store brand as it works to rev up its grocery business. The big-box retailer said the new brand, called Simply Balanced, will start with drinks and snacks like corn chips on Sunday. Amanda Irish, senior director of Target's store brands, said the new line is in response to the growing popularity of organic foods.

Canada stuns with biggest job gains in 11 years
Canada's economy created a surprising 95,000 jobs in May, the biggest monthly gain in 11 years, and most were full-time positions and in the private sector, Statistics Canada said on Friday in a report showing the economy may be gaining momentum. The stellar performance handily beat market expectations for a 15,000 gain and came after just 12,500 jobs were generated in April.

US: Hiring points to resilience in economy
Employers stepped up hiring a bit in May in a show of economic resilience that suggests the Federal Reserve could begin to scale back its monetary stimulus later this year. The unemployment rate ticked a tenth of a percentage point higher to 7.6 per cent, but the rise was driven by more workers entering the labour force, a relatively hopeful sign. 'The acceleration in jobs growth points to further improvement in domestic growth momentum,' said Millan Mulraine, director of US research and strategy at TD Securities in New York.

Koreas agree to hold talks on reopening complex
North and South Korea on Thursday agreed to hold talks on reopening a jointly run factory complex and other cross-border issues, after months of deteriorating relations and a day before a US-China summit in which the North is expected to be a key topic. The North's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea, in a statement carried by state media, said it is open to holding talks with Seoul on reopening the Kaesong complex just north of the Demilitarized Zone separating the countries. The complex closed this spring.

BJP making 'baseless' allegations, says Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit

New Delhi: With BJP stepping up attack on her government on a range of issues, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Friday accused the opposition party of levelling "baseless allegations" and said people of the city are well aware of the "reality".
"Those who are levelling baseless allegations are defaming the city of Delhi. They levlled allegations after the Commonwealth Games, which were dismissed by the agencies like CAG and Shanglu committe. They have once again started a similar tirade against the government", Dikshit said.
She was addressing a function after laying foundation stone of a 2.1 km-long corridor between Prembari Pul to Azadpur on Ring Road in North Delhi area.
"The people are well aware of the reality and know well about those who are like professionals in levelling charges", she said.
Dikshit s attack on BJP came a day after senior BJP leader Vijender Gupta filed a complaint with CBI seeking a probe against Dikshit for alleged misuse of public funds for an advertisement campaign ahead of assembly polls in 2008 for which the Lokayukta had indicted her in May 2013.
On BJP s promise of reducing power tariff by 30 per cent if it comes to power in the assembly polls later in 2013, Dikshit made light of the assurance and asked the party to give her the magic wand so that the rates could be brought down.
We have worked hard to ensure round-the-clock power supply. The government would not tolerate any defficiency on the part of discoms and take action if they fail to ensure round-the-clock power supply, she said.
The Chief Minister said the 2.1 km-long corridor will include 1.6km-long elevated road. Listing various achievements of her government, Dikshit said it has done everything possible to ensure overall development of every section of the society.
She also inaugurated a Foot Over Bridge at Shakurpur Colony in East Delhi in the presence of Union Minister Kapil Sibal. More than 66 flyovers have been constructed during last one decade. The infrastructure development in Delhi has, infact, brought a sea-change in the transport scenario, she said.
Dikshit said the new elevated road to be built as part of the 2.1 km-long corridor would be the first in Delhi to be constructed on a single pier.
The six-lane elevated road would ensure signal-free movement of vehicles on the busy stretch on the Ring Road. Speaking on the occasion, Sibal recited one of his poems on Dikshit and described her as one who runs with an electrifed speed.

Aries March 21 to April 19 You are now in the new moon period that runs from June 8 until June 21. You will benefit from any travel you take, whether to see family, to conduct business, or to simply have fun. Spin your compass and book a sweet hotel in a location not far from home over June 15-16. Mercury was not favorable to Uranus at that new moon, so you might have last-minute delays. Do your best to nail down all details. If driving, before you head out, have your car tuned up by a mechanic.
Taurus April 20 to May 20 You are now in the finest time of all of 2013 for increasing your salary, or if self-employed, to bring in more business. The new moon appeared in your earned income sector on June 8, so the actions you take now will have the power to influence your financial year to come. Good-fortune Jupiter is now touring your money sector in a rare visit, but is due to leave on June 25. Once gone, Jupiter won't be back to this house another twelve years. While you have the most ideal situation possible for raising your income, craft a persuasive argument and present your case. Don't undersell your services or your product.
Gemini May 21 to June 20
This has all the makings of a banner week. Choose one big initiative (whether business or personal) to launch. You have the staunch support of almost all of the planets now, so with a smile and a shrug, tell yourself that it's now or never. The vibrations of planets in Gemini, including Mars, Jupiter, the Sun and new moon of June 8 (still strong) are spectacular. It would be a shame not to use this week to your full advantage.
Cancer June 21 to July 22 With four important planets in the area of your chart ruling privacy, creativity, strategy, and work done in solitude, arrange an easygoing schedule that gives you plenty of time to think about the future and to concentrate on creative pursuits. Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will enter Cancer on June 25, to stay twelve months, bringing all sorts of exceptional opportunities. Visits from Jupiter are rare; you've not had a visit from Jupiter since mid-2001 to mid-2002.
Leo July 23 to Aug. 22
This week will be enormously social, and it looks like you'll get a number of calls from friends suggesting you get together. Your pals will be good for you now, so turn away from routine work and make time for them. The only area that won't go well would be a blind date if you are single - it seems your friend doesn't quite know your taste after all. If you've been thinking of joining a new (real life) club, send your application now, and attend functions. You need to add new elements to freshen things up.

Reliance Jio gives RCom a second lease of life
Rs 12,000 crore deal for lifetime sharing of towers their second, after one for inter-city optic fibre signed in April.
A day after the annual general meeting of Reliance Industries, where chairman Mukesh Ambani vowed a disruptive 4G launch next year, the group’s telecom arm, Reliance Jio Infocomm, on Friday signed a Rs 12,000 crore deal ($2.2 billion) with Reliance Communications (RCom) to lease 45,000 tower sites for the rollout.
RCom currently owns around 52,000 tower sites, both on-ground and rooftop-based. This is the second deal between Reliance Jio and RCom since Mukesh Ambani exited the telecom business in 2005 following differences with brother Anil.
The first one, for leasing 1.2 lakh km of RCom’s intercity optic fibre at a one-time upfront cost of Rs 1,200 crore, was signed in April, with the companies indicating several future deals would follow.
A third deal, for leasing RCom’s intracity fibre, is expected to be announced before December.
The latest deal is for lifetime (14-17 years) use of the RCom towers – for which payment would be staggered in monthly or quarterly instalments of Rs 14,000-20,000 apiece.
It also provides for joint working arrangements to set up additional towers at new locations according to Reliance Jio’s need.
Meanwhile, Reliance Jio will start setting up network infrastructure and acquiring equipment from vendors, whose deals have been finalised and begin setting up the same at RCom’s sites.
Reliance Jio is expected to become an active tenant on RCom’s towers within the next one or two quarters – about the same time when Reliance Jio is expected to also start active usage of RCom’s leased intercity fibre.
The tower deal, together with the earlier intercity fibre deal and the intracity fibre deal to follow, is seen as a huge positive for RCom, which is reeling under enormous debt and has been trying to hive off its tower business for the past three years, in vain, due to low valuation.
As of March 31, it had debt totalling Rs 38,753 crore, with net debt/Ebitda (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) of 6.5.
“This deal is broadly on the expected lines and is a positive for RCom as it opens a new source of revenue for them. Since April 2, when the fibre optic network sharing deal was announced, RCom shares have gained ~87% from Rs 63.3 on April 2 to Rs 118 on June 6 on wide speculation of this kind of deal coming in. We continue to remain Neutral on the stock as of now and wait for clarity on the nature of payments, rentals, etc,” Ankita Somani of Angel Broking said in a note.
Vinay Jaising and Vanessa A D’souza of Morgan Stanley has said as much in April, “Four more possible deals could cut RCom’s debt by Rs 7,700 crore more – nearly halving net debt/Ebitda and allaying our key concern. We see attractive valuation with limited downside.”
The four deals would be for RCom’s 70,000 km of domestic intracity fibre along with 1.15 million buildings wired; 22,000 km of US-based fibre; 65,000 km of sub-sea cable; and 50,000 towers running at low utilisation rates.
“We estimate total replacement cost at $8.25 billion. If RCom receives a further Rs 7,700 crore in the next two years, its net debt/Ebitda would go down from 5.3x in F13e to 2.9x by F16e. Upside to F15e earnings is 27%,” the Morgan Stanley analysts had said in a note.

Raspberry supplement may help you lose weight

Raspberry ketones can help you lose weight and boost levels of a metabolism-regulating hormone, a report has claimed.
Raspberry ketones are fragrant compounds that occur naturally in raspberries and other fruits. The compounds can boost levels of adiponectin hormone, which regulates metabolism.
Higher levels of this hormone are associated with fewer fat stores, the Daily Mail reported.
The ketones are normally used to give a fruity smell to cosmetics and foodstuffs but, because you only get between one and four milligram from every kilo of fresh fruit, a synthetic version is often used to get the same result.
And now these ketones are being sold online, in supplement form, as a slimming aid, the report said.
Millions of Americans have become convinced of powers of raspberry ketones to ‘melt’ away fat after they were recommended by Dr. Mehmet Oz, a cardiothoracic surgeon featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
He said raspberry ketones are ‘the number-one miracle in a bottle to burn your fat’.
However, Ann Ashworth, a spokeswoman for the British Dietetic Association, urges caution, pointing out that the only published research into the effects of raspberry ketones on weight loss is small studies on mice.
“Although this sounds very exciting, this evidence cannot be transferred to humans without further clinical trials,” she said.

Virgo Aug. 23 to Sept. 22 You are entering one of the most important weeks of the year for scoring a key career victory. The new moon that lit your house of fame and honors on Saturday, June 8, will stay strong during this coming week, so talk to friends and colleagues about possible position openings, view listings, and call your headhunter. Something big is likely to turn up. If self-employed, a prestigious new client is likely to walk through the door. You may need to meet with the press soon too, so look your best, and take good care of yourself as you have a lot of activity due in the coming two weeks. Your best days this week will be Friday and Saturday.
Libra Sept. 23 to Oct. 22 With four planets encouraging you to spread your wings, you may be off to an important vacation or business trip now. Any travel you take is likely to have a strong and positive impact on your life, so be optimistic. Pursuits for higher education will also be rewarded, so if you are working on a thesis, taking high-level exams, or interviewing for admission to a college for the future, you will do well. Legal matters will tend to work to your favor now too. In your career, news will reach a turning point within several weeks and give you a chance to reach for the big prize. Get all your ducks in a row so you will be ready.
Scorpio Oct. 23 to Nov. 21
You seem to be quite a money machine this week. Men with little wheelbarrows full of money seem to be heading straight to your door. In this extraordinary week, you have Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, Sun, ruling authority figures, Mars, planet of energy (and your ruler), and the new moon of June 8 to exert powerful rays all this week. They will blend their considerable energies to see that you receive a generous check soon. Keep working toward crystallizing your deal. Be careful with any legal document you need to sign, however as Mercury (contracts) was in hard angle to Uranus (surprises) at the new moon. A wise lawyer can protect you, so don't skimp - this lawyer will be well worth her fee.
Sagittarius Nov. 22 to Dec. 21 As a Sagittarius, you always like to take your time to think carefully before committing to any promises, but this week, you seem closer than ever to making a fateful promise to a partner, whether for marriage or a new business alliance. As it will soon become apparent, this week favors those members of Sagittarius who are already attached. If you are newly dating or hope to meet someone new, be wary on Wednesday, June 12, a day that may bring unexpected turbulence, due to a conflict between Venus and Uranus. Thursday, June 13, would be your very best day for an evening of fun and love.
Capricorn Dec. 22 to Jan. 19
You seem very motivated to exercise and get into good condition. This is your very best time to begin. The new moon that appeared on Saturday, June 8, can help you reach your fitness goals. Call to make medical and dental appointments. You know you should have done this earlier this year - you are running out of excuses, little Goat. Make a conscious effort to improve your diet and sleep schedule while you are thinking about finding ways to boost your health. Your work life will be very busy this week too, with two assignments coming in nearly simultaneously. Your skills in communicating will be prized, and if you can find ways to show off those skills, you'll make a name for yourself. Your best days this week: Friday and Saturday.
Aquarius Jan. 20 to Feb. 18
The new moon that occurred on June 8 will bring outstanding possibilities for your love life throughout the coming week. With the help of Mars, Jupiter, the Sun, and that new moon's power, each in friendly Gemini, you'll have one of your best chances of 2013 to meet someone new, if single. If you're attached, you can now have much more fun with your one and only - and get the one-on-one attention you've craved. This week is also a good time to invite the stork - be careful if you're not ready to be a parent. Your only difficult day for work- and home-related efforts: June 12, when your ruler, Uranus, faces off with Venus. At work, if artistic, your creativity will blossom more with each passing day, impressing VIPs. Your ideas will now bring you closer to the big opportunity you dreamed someday would be yours. No matter how risky your visions, don't hold back.
Pisces Feb. 19 to March 20 You've had plans for your home, but things kept getting in the way, or you've not been able to find the right options. Now all obstacles will fall, and you can make your home life precisely as you want it to be. With the new moon of June 8 still strong for more than a week, and Jupiter, planet of good fortune, standing by to help your timing and financial luck, seize the moment and get busy. Energetic Mars is also at your side in home matters, helping you start a two-year cycle. What more could you want? It's time to cut the deal or make your choices. You have no reason to hold back. Later, other parts of life will become more vital - use this time now to get real estate and family matters launched or settled while you still have Jupiter in your home sector, to leave June 25, not to come back for 12 years..

Ravindra Jadeja: More than just a bits and pieces man

CARDIFF: Talk about capturing the moment of an entire one-day match by simply fielding a ball and throwing it back to the wicket-keeper from midwicket. Ravindra Jadeja effected a run-out and it became the turning point of the game between India and South Africa, changing a close-on the-heels chase into a one sided drubbing.
Given the analogies mentioned in recent past to describe his many talents, only Jadeja could perhaps steal Shikhar Dhawan and Team India's moment of glory with just one act of smart fielding.
Robin Peterson struck the ball and ran for a single without a second thought, but even before AB de Villiers - at the non-striker's end - could warn him, Jadeja was at it in a flash, picking the ball with his left (throwing) arm and using great presence of mind to send it to the 'keeper and not the other end. The keeper's end wasn't where he was facing, but he did it, and the way broadcasters kept showing the clip again and again, it could only mean great respect for Jadeja's skills.
The joke, it turns out, is now on those who've been ridiculing Jadeja ever since he made the Test team. But be it bat, ball or simply in the field, whenever the team or skipper MS Dhoni have looked up, Jadeja has only left them overwhelmed.
Dhoni had been consistently mentioning that the format of the Champions Trophy would force him to play five specialist bowlers. However, given his penchant for all-rounders or preferably an extra batsman, his five bowler theory has worked best only when somebody, who can bowl, also contributes with the bat.
It is also a good clue to perhaps why he and Jadeja have started to get along so well. Dhoni and some of the other members of the team have had a lot of fun at the expense of Jadeja. But the Saurashtra all-rounder may not mind the banter simply because he also realises the amount of faith his skipper has in him.
Unlike the various social networking platforms, where he's the butt of many jokes, within Team India, Jadeja sits comfortably knowing his value.
A 29-ball 47 against South Africa on Thursday boosted India's total to an eventual 331. Given the manner in which de Villiers & Co began the chase, Jadeja's little cameo proved decisive.
"Babu" they call him, by his nickname, and he seems to respond well every time they do. On wickets like the one in Cardiff, he's effective because he doesn't try too much. Targeting the middle and off-stump, bowling at good length, varying his pace, he tries to get through his quota of overs with minimum fuss. By keeping it simple, Jadeja has survived and how.
In the current scheme of things, Dhoni while having to play five bowlers, needs a batting order that runs deep too. That flexible option is someone like Jadeja. Next time a tweet appears on Jadeja's 20-run knock pointing out how he's missed his triple ton by another 280, bear in mind that the little contribution may have done enough to help India win. The bits and pieces man is fast becoming a protagonist in key victories.

" INSPIRING STORY "
The Ship of Friendship
A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island.
The two survivors who have been a good friends, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse but to pray to God.
However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.
The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man’s parcel of land remained barren.
After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there was nothing.
Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing.
Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island.
He considered the other man unworthy to receive God’s blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered.
As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming, “Why are you leaving your companion on the island?”
“My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them,” the first man answered. “His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything.”
“You are mistaken!” the voice rebuked him. “He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings.”
“Tell me,” the first man asked the voice, “What did he pray for that I should owe him anything?”
“He prayed that all your prayers be answered “
