This month will have all the elements you adore doing - travel, romance, and time to shop and to connect with old friends. And while you may have a tricky situation to sort out, everyone of every sign will be in the same boat as cosmic winds will be blowing strong gale-force winds. Those winds will be bringing in the new and breaking down the old, outworn areas. If at times the conditions in the world and in your own life seem extreme, it’s because the world will be in transition, moving from one state of understanding and enlightenment to another, and transitions always require effort. Later, you’ll be glad for all the news you get, for the universe will be on a mission to find out what is working and what is not, and give you a chance to fix what is broken.
With Mercury about to retrograde from August 20 to September 12 in your career sector, you won’t miss much if you decide to duck out of town for a week or two. You will feel the slowdown to everyday events as early as August 1, as people you will be dealing with become increasingly indecisive or out of reach. Take the time now to decompress before autumn arrives, for by mid-September you’ll again be moving at the speed of light.
A lot seems to be going on with friends, but in this topsy-turvy month, no one seems quite normal. A friend or sweetheart will be quick to take offense, and you may start to feel like you’re walking around on eggshells. Or, the situation may reverse, and you may hardly believe what you are hearing from someone close whom you’ve always trusted. A friend may not like a sweetheart or your sweetheart may lock horns with one of your friends. My instinct about this is to advise you to give the other person some slack - things may right themselves again. If you don’t want to lose the relationship, especially regarding an event that happens near August 6 or 7, then give it time. See how you feel.
Until people start acting like their usual selves again, you may be able to fit in one more important trip before summer fades, thanks to the new moon August 9 and in the two weeks that follow. You can go to a foreign country now if you like - and this time, travel for pure pleasure. You, of all signs, must have built up a few enviable frequent flier miles.
Neptune, planet of confusion and forgetfulness (but also of creativity and inspiration), will oppose the Sun, so keep track of your necessary treasures when traveling - your cell phone, iPod, digital camera, recharging cords, and batteries, as well as your eyeglasses. Don’t lose your ID when going through security, either. If possible, put a business card on electronics and one in your case for glasses.
On the plus side, Neptune will give you time to reflect and if you go to a new setting away from your usual cares, you will rejuvenate your creative spirit. Neptune is the mythological god of the sea, so consider going to a pretty town along a seaside coast, for example, in Greece, Italy, Scotland, France, or Spain (just to get you thinking!)
Your home will need attention within days of the full moon August 24, and the matter at hand could be as simple as signing a new lease or browsing stores for a great new piece of furniture. Or, your to-do list may have a monumental deal on the agenda, such as to decide whether or not to buy or sell a house. Keep in mind that it’s not wise to make any big moves while Mercury is retrograde, which as said earlier, it will be by time of the full moon. See if you can do research now. For best results, put off the actual signing for September 14 when the moon will be in Sagittarius and Mercury will be out of retrograde.
The best day to discuss career financial plans and stage negotiations will be Thursday, August 26, when an authority figures will be on your side.

A good day to have a career interview would be August 26, when Pluto will trine the Sun. VIPs will view you favorably, and the money being offered will be excellent, too.

No one’s favorite days: The weekend of August 7-8, and Friday, August 13. Socially those dates are not good, and could bring unexpected problems. In truth, you’d do best to fly out of town and let friends be for a while. By the time you get back, hopefully your interactions will go better.
