A torrent of stormy weather is about to pass through your chart in the first half of August. Your toughest days, particularly in regard to career (although there may be other areas affected), are likely to come near August 6 and 13. A VIP may cause you to question your innate abilities, but don’t let his person ruffle your feathers. Your chart shows you want change in many areas of your life, including your career, so it may be the right time to look for a new professional challenge.
Relationships of every description, at home, in love, and at work, will be rocky in the first half, so much so that at some point you may wonder: “Is everyone around me crazy or is it me?” (Hint: It’s not you.) People will be on edge and quick to pounce. With cooperation scarce, try spending time alone until people start behaving normally again.
The eclipses in late June and mid-July brought career and residential shifts and in August you may still be dealing with what you learned, especially near the date that eclipse is triggered by Saturn on August 6. The demands on you have been considerable - cut yourself some slack by taking things one step at a time. You are lucky to have Jupiter in Aries until September 9 protecting your interests, so even untoward events (should you encounter any) can be turned to your favor.
Love and romance may be what you want most these days, but even the super-romantic new moon of August 9 may not deliver quite as much as you had hoped. With Venus, the planet of love, in Libra, touring your house of marriage, but opposed to unpredictable Uranus in Aries, you may find your steady partner moody and combative.
Mercury is about to retrograde from August 20 to September 12, and once it does (and even two weeks before it does) Mercury out of phase will increase the likelihood for miscommunications. Observe and listen carefully, but do not craft a response to any key issues just yet. Let the dust clear and wait until reason prevails. Attached Libras do have one sterling day coming up later - August 20 when Venus and Mars come together to create gorgeous fireworks. It’s sure to be a thrilling day.
Singles have the advantage - if you are not involved, you may meet someone new. For you, August 26 seems be your cup of tea, thanks to the Sun and Pluto’s sparkling conversation, and the moon’s move through Aries that day. If possible plan a weekend away at month’s end, from August 27 through 29 - it is due to be your best time of the month. If a friend offers, an arranged introduction should go well.
A welcome calm will arrive at month’s end. The full moon August 24 (operative for plus four days) will put you in the mood to indulge in quiet pleasures. Escape to a pretty spot where you can do nothing more pressing than collect seashells, take photographs, or read a good book. You’ll return home completely renewed and ready to welcome autumn. Friends are your saviors now, so make time for them.
There will be several other dates to pay attention to, so please note on your calendar the dates I have listed below - there was too much to say this month!
Dates to note:
Love won’t go well over the weekend of August 7-8, nor is it likely to go well anywhere near August 1.
Instead, if you plan a special weekend with someone you love, choose the time when Venus will be near Mars, August 20-21 (attached) and the moon will be in Aries, August 28-29 (singles).
All romantic dates this month include: August 17-18, 20-21, 23, 26-28, and 31.
A partner or authority figure may be demanding, due to a clash between active Mars, your ruler, and Pluto, August 3-4.
If single, watch what happens after the new moon in Leo for a possible introduction to someone new: August 9. Be careful though, as this month sends quite a bit of confusing messages.
A creative project may start or be approved sometime between August 9 and 31.
Present ideas, the earlier in this phase, the better.
Sign no contracts and make no big decisions or announcements anywhere near the three-and-a-half week phase when Mercury will go retrograde in your money house from August 20 to September 12.
Mercury retrograde is a good time to go back to former situations, not start new ones.
By the end of August, not much will be happening, the perfect time to take a rest so that you can enter September in a bright and vibrant frame of mind. That’s when the tempo of life will increase noticeably.
A good day to discuss your career with a powerful person, possibly from your past, would be when Pluto trines the Sun, August 26-27. Plan but don’t decide quite yet as Mercury will be retrograde.
The most romantic dates of the month - if you are attached - will be when Venus and Mars conjoin. They haven’t met like this since late June 2009 - now they will meet on August 20-21. Lovely!
