Life was hard for you over a very long time - three endless years - that it would be understandable if you simply dream of getting away to a sunny place where cell phones don’t work and no one knows your name. While you couldn’t quite say that things are exactly easy now, you do have to admit a little grudgingly that things are getting better. Keep this in mind: no matter what Saturn asked you to face over the past three years (up to October 5, 2012) you won’t see anything that difficult again in the future.
I don’t want you to dread Saturn in any of the places he visits your chart, because he typically does not create situations that difficult. You happened to have found yourself flying into an airspace that contained battling planets - Saturn was receiving shots from Uranus (making your spouse or other partner/ competitor unpredictable and difficult, and the eclipses in Cancer- Capricorn (2009-2011) were creating havoc in your career and home life, and so tense were these vibrations that your health may have suffered.
As you see, Saturn not had to fight off a whole street gang of planetary artillery, and because Saturn was in your sign, Libra, you probably didn’t know what hit you when it all started. Things lasted a long time, from 2008 when Pluto came into a tough position, but then gradually, in 2009 Saturn moved into a bad position, then Uranus, and at the same time the eclipses were turning life inside out and backward. It must have felt endless going through all that.
If it were not for the positions of Uranus, Pluto, Saturn, and the eclipses, you would not have found Saturn in Libra so hard. You had a rare circumstance, as Saturn only arrives in Libra once every 29 years, for a three-year stay. You are done now with most of the problems, although Uranus and Pluto are hanging out in tough positions, but compared with the dragons you had before, you can deal with them. You are now tougher, smarter, and far more seasoned in life than you were back in 2008, and now you feel you can handle anything life throws your way.
A lack of money seems to be your problem, and this is actually new for you. You are not used to having to watch your pennies, but money management with slim resources seems to be the new lesson that Saturn has for you. Actually, though, if you work with Saturn (rather than resist his lessons), you can leave the coming period wealthier than when you entered it.
Saturn will teach you to cut waste, negotiate a hard bargain, and find new sources of income, too. Your main problem is that employers are budget conscious, but it won’t always be this way. Saturn will be with you until September 2015, but after that, you will carry his lessons for the nearly three decades into the future. You won’t feel Saturn the whole time, either, only when he directly contacts other planets in your natal chart, so it’s not doom and gloom for three years - Saturn would never do that to you. We all go through Saturn’s training camp - you are getting yours done now, and you won’t have to worry about this coming up in the future.
Now last month’s eclipse of November 28 was in Gemini, and may have sent you on an exciting trip abroad or if not, soon will, as that eclipse was very positive for Libra, and doubly so if you were born near September 29. I love that this full moon was conjunct Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck. That is rare - I almost never see an eclipse land so close to Jupiter.
The same house, the ninth house, where foreign travel is being stimulated for you, is essentially a house of education and philosophy. You may start to look through brochures for classes to sign up for in your next college semester and find you thoroughly enjoy the classes you take. If you are taking exams this month, you will do well, and the same is true if you are defending your thesis. Publishing and broadcast projects shine, and if you are in a legal dispute, or need to file papers with the courts, such as a legal trademark, you will find the process goes smoothly and in your favor. If you hope to get citizenship in another country, or a green card or visa, this November 28 will work hard for you and make it happen.
If you did not see any news last month, you may hear something in the first days of December or, conversely, one month to a day later, plus or minus five days from December 28. I was surprised to see that the first twelve days of December have no major aspects and therefore life will be quiet. You will have time to digest the many events that have transpired since the two difficult “monster moons” as I had called them, September 29 and October 29, and to consider your next moves.
Home and property matters are certain to be on your list of things to think about until Mars leaves your fourth house of home on December 25. You can take a break on those matters once Mars leaves on Christmas day, but come January you will be back thinking about the big decisions you need to make involving home. In January you will have your best time to move forward assertively, as all conditions will be right, and you can uncover lots of options. You seem to have a sense of urgency about settling matters, so even though it is holiday season, you seem ready to deal your cards. Alternatively, the fourth house also rules parents, so you may be thinking about your parent and looking for ways to help your mother or father. Answers are coming, so keep looking. As I said, January will be such a big month for home and property matters.
The new moon December 13 will appear in Sagittarius 21 degrees, so more travel may come up, either far or near, perhaps suddenly, more likely done for pleasure than for work. If no travel comes up, it may be that you are heavily focused on your sister or brother, as your third house, associated with siblings, will be strongly lit. Remarkably, the day after the new moon, December 14, Mercury will be in beautiful angle to Uranus, underscoring the theme of sudden, spontaneous travel or a flurry of communication that would arrive on your desk.
The full moon in Cancer, 7 degrees, on December 28 will have mixed aspects and concern your career, and you would be wise to treat this full moon cautiously. The full moon will fall in your tenth house of fame, but is in direct opposition to Pluto and in hard angle to Uranus. If you were hoping to get a new position, you may face a barrage of competition for that job, whether you know about the others or not. To make matters worse, you seem to be either getting flack from your romantic partner or family back home, or you may not agree with your broker or lawyer about what the best steps are to take. Clearly, a lot is going on at home, and in other parts of your life, and the pressure has been building.
You do have help from Saturn in your house of money at this time, so it appears you can forge a good, long-term solution to any dilemma if you are determined to sort through the options. Because Saturn is in Scorpio, the answers will be hidden, and it will be up to you to unearth them. Don’t let this full moon trouble you - there are many opportunities in this world. If the company you are talking to can’t see your value, then let them have their old job. If you do get the job, it’s because you triumphed over many adversities. It may or may not be worth it.
Mars will leave your home and family sector when it leaves Capricorn on December 25, and bring in a new influence - one of romance and fun. Capricorn is a very difficult, prickly place for you to host Mars, but now you are almost done (by December 25), and in the meantime Mars will help you settle property matters, despite the chorus from family who seems have opinions. You will have the wonderful romantic influence just when you need it, in the week many people are off from work, between Christmas and New Year’s and throughout all of January, until February 1.
Venus will cooperate, too, by moving in Sagittarius, from December 15 to January 8 and that’s a fire sign that blends nicely with your air sign element. Mars’ tour of Aquarius is sensational for you, and for once, Venus and Mars will be in agreement to help Cupid do his work. Venus will be in your travel sector, so if you can go away, even a small distance, say 50 miles, to visit friends or relatives, on your rounds, you may meet someone new and fan the fires of love even more. Mars’ visit to Aquarius could not be better news, and it’s favor you’ve not had for two years, not since January-February 2011!
If you are attached, the planet now in your house of marriage, Uranus, has been retrograde since July 13, but will move forward with a bolt on December 13, the same day as the new moon. After that happens, you will find it easier to relate to your partner and to find areas of agreement. Admittedly, it won’t always be smooth - Uranus will have a tiff with the Sun on December 25, making your relationship again fragile - but knowing where the sensitive spots lie will help you avoid problems. This is why we study astrology, so we can be forearmed when difficult aspects come up and take full advantage when brilliant ones arrive.
Speaking of brilliant aspects, you will be amazed to hear this, but you have the potential for the most staggeringly happy New Year’s Eve in years, possibly the best ever! With Mars in perfect angle to Uranus on December 31, you have plenty of surprises, all delicious ones, in store for that evening. The moon will be in Leo, allowing you to experience lots of luxury and pampering. Make plans, dear Libra!
Happy New Year!
