Monthly Horoscopes : Libra (September 23 - October 22) Your Monthly December 2011

Eclipse season is here, and surprising events are popping up everywhere. Fortunately, these solar and lunar events are due to be somewhat easier for you to experience than the ones that occurred last year. Eclipses bring new experiences, often right out of the blue, from events outside your control that you would never expect. They add a new twist to life, increase your experience, and evolve you into a more mature, seasoned person. Eclipse time often marks the truly big events of life, so you are likely to hear of births, engagements, weddings, the purchase of a house, a promotion or start of a new business, a book being published - you get the idea. They often bring news of something big.

Not all the news is positive at eclipse time, so we always have to be prepared for anything to come up. Keep your schedule wide open near December 10, for if you have an overly packed schedule you will become tense, as you may need to swing into action and make quick decisions. Generally solar eclipses (like we had last month) open new paths, and are more exciting than lunar eclipses. If you are to take full advantage of what they bring up, you will need to take the initiative to follow up, but of course, that’s something you’d do joyfully.

You may want to re-read the November forecast I wrote for you last month, because I went into detail about the November 25 eclipse, which will be active for you for weeks and months to come. Eclipses have long future areas of influence. They always come in pairs, as triply powerful new moons and full moons. These lunar and solar events are instigators of change, and as a pair are connected in theme and purpose. If your birthday falls on September 25 plus or minus five days, you will feel the effects of the November 25 eclipse the most.

You can find the hyperlink to your last month’s forecast if you scroll down to the bottom of your forecast, below Dates to Note, and click on “Previous month’s forecast.”

Total eclipses of the (full) moon, as we will have this month on December 10, tend to bring endings or culminations. They are more emotional than new moon solar eclipses because they stir up feelings, memories, and long-held dreams. Fortunately for you, the eclipses are falling in the fire and air signs of Gemini and Sagittarius, and these are signs that blend beautifully with yours. This means you will likely deal with them better than most signs, for both these elements are supportive of you.

There is a little problem, however, because as you begin December, Mercury will still be in retrograde, a condition that Mercury entered into on November 24. Mercury rules thinking and reasoning, and will continue to retrograde until December 13 - that means that during the first half of December, your judgment will likely be off. Things will be in flux, but you won’t know that because on the surface, everything will seem so normal - that’s the rub! This means you need to go slowly, for nothing will be quite as it seems. With big events happening as a result of the eclipses in an environment of fog and confusion, you will need to take your time. Do not make any major moves until a day or two after December 13.

The next eclipse will fall in Gemini, 18 degrees, and will bring in a flurry of communication. It certainly will dramatically increase your interaction with others, whether people you know, or some that you don’t, say, if you give a speech or begin an advertising or publicity campaign. You may start a website or blog, or you may get more involved with social media than you have in the past. Certainly you will see an avalanche of emails, phone calls, and texts, and you will likely have many meetings to attend.

The third and ninth houses that are so lit for you are the areas of the chart that cover attitude and opinion, and because eclipses push us to new levels of awareness, you may adopt a new perspective on an important issue that you have been mulling over lately. This may come through a debate you have with someone, or by reading an article that make you think along new lines, as two of many possibilities.

This particular series of eclipses started a year ago, on December 21, 2010. The next eclipses, Gemini-Sagittarius, continued mid-year, on June 1, and a total eclipse of the moon followed on June 15. You might want to think back to what you were doing on those dates to see what news or discussions came up, for those will point the way to this series. The next two in the same series will advance conversations to a higher level, until they are finished in May 2013. (There will be three in this series in 2012.)

Your world is opening up, for soon you will see that the shutters of your mind will be opened wide with sunlight by the current eclipses, either through travel, education, or discussion. You may notice a strong emphasis on international relationships and trade, and may be involved with making an application for (or you may receive) a visa, green card, or new passport from a foreign country that allows dual citizenship.

This part of your chart also rules the courts and justice, so you may register a patent or trademark, or work on a court settlement, if you have been in a dispute. Things will likely be finishing up by December 10, plus five days, or one month to the day later, January 10, plus or minus five days.

You will likely notice a refreshing influence and one that will likely motivate you to explore new avenues of expression and of learning. The emphasis on the dispersal of information of the ninth house is why a major publishing or broadcasting project may be finishing up now. Or you may send your application to the colleges, a good time to wrap that process up.

Your close family relatives will also be highlighted with eclipses in these houses (your solar third and ninth houses) with your sister or brother coming up as especially prominent now, and your sibling may have news. It’s also possible that you will do something together, like buy a piece of land, for instance.

If you were presented a contract last month, you will have time to negotiate the points (even if you assume there is a rush). Mercury is still retrograde, a holdover from last month, so it would not be a good time to sign any documents, not until Mercury regulates its orbit, December 13. You can sign on December 14 or beyond. Holiday shopping will also be affected by Mercury out of phase - you would be best to buy your electronic items after December 13, not before, for the product would be more likely to please you or your recipient, as the case may be.

If your birthday falls on October 10, plus or minus five days, you will feel the affects of the December 10 eclipse the most.

Your home and family will also present a big theme once you get to the new moon in your fourth house, December 24, in Capricorn 3 degrees. If you have had hoped to buy or sell your house or condo before the year is out, you have a good chance of doing so. Mercury will no longer be retrograde, so that’s a plus - you can sell your home and sign the paperwork. Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, is in your house of other people’s money, so you are likely to get a generous price too.

You may make a sale or purchase when the Sun meets up with Pluto, December 28 or 29, an ideal day to shake hands or sign on the dotted line.

If you are not buying, selling, or renting, you may have promised yourself that you would bring in the contractors in January to start renovations as soon as the holidays are over. Perfect! This new moon will let you choose among the estimates you have on your desk. You might want to award the job in the last week of December so that you can start the year off on the right foot, beginning your dream project.

You can improve your home on a smaller scale too. Furniture sales are generally very enticing in January, too, so you may be thinking instead of getting a new couch or rug, a mattress or new linens, and if so, any and all of these kinds of purchases for the home could work out very well.

The fourth house, so lit by this December 24 new moon, also rules your parents, so if you were concerned about your mother or father for any reason, you can now make plans for your mother or father, confident that finally you have found all the right options.

Jupiter (financial luck), Pluto, Saturn, and Neptune will all support this new moon, but Uranus will not, and to that end, you may have to convince your partner to support your ideas. You seem to be meeting up with opposition, so it will take your powers of finesse to work things out. Uranus is sudden, so you won’t see this coming. Still, you have so much support on this new moon, keep your cool, and don’t become too anxious. You will be able to handle what comes up. Remember, we are all in the same boat, with the same aspects, in one way or another.

Venus, your ruler, will be in rare “mutual reception” with Saturn all month, and that means that Venus and Saturn will work together in a particularly strong and cooperative way. In order to get a mutual reception, you need Venus to be in the sign that Saturn rules (Capricorn), while at the same time, you need Saturn to be in the sign Venus rules (Libra). It’s hard to get a mutual reception as planets all move at different speeds, but that’s exactly what we have with Venus and Saturn throughout the month until December 20. Home can bring on a new feeling of stability and be a place that you make quite beautiful too.

Socially, this month you may show off your flair for entertaining if you like, a great idea. Your home will be a big focus all month, so you might be hosting houseguests (if you are not moving or renovating). Venus will be in your home sector too until December 20, and Venus is your ruler, showing how dearly you’d like to make your home a cozy hub. Having Venus there will ensure that if you choose to give a party, you can design a festive setting for friends and family that they will enjoy.

One perfect weekend to invite people over, perhaps for a trim-a-tree party, will be over the weekend of December 3 or 4, when Venus and Mars in loving alignment will cook up lots of glittering vibrations.

In matters of the heart, if you are attached, you may have been dealing with an erratic partner, especially if your birthday falls in September, due to the position of unpredictable Uranus in your marriage house. Your partner may be acting this way for any number of reasons, some of which will not have anything to do with you. Your partner may be going through a rough patch or many experience many life changes, so during this holiday season, be supportive. If you are a September-born Libra, you’ve hosted Uranus in your opposite sign for a year, so you are becoming more adept at dealing with this planet’s influence.

Saturn has been on your Sun if you are an October-born Libra, so no matter when you were born, you have not had it easy. This is only temporary - I promise things will improve. In mid-October (several months ago), you likely reached a watershed moment in your relationship - you may be coping with a decision that you made then. Keep in mind that if your romantic relationship has been warm and loving, you may be feeling this influence from Uranus in a business alliance - that is an important point.

When it comes to love and romance, you’ll come into your own once Venus moves into Aquarius, December 20 until January 14. This will be your best place for your guardian planet to be to help you find love or enjoy love.

Here is my favorite day of the month for your love life, dear Libra: December 21, when Venus and Uranus will be beautifully aligned and love will fill the air. If you are single, be sure to stand under the mistletoe! If you are attached, you’ll enjoy this holiday to the fullest with your partner.

On New Year’s Eve, the moon will be in Aries, so your partner may want to make all the plans. Good idea!

Happy New Year, dear Libra!

Monthly Horoscopes : Aries (March 21 - April 19) Your Monthly Forecast December 2011

Things are looking up, dear Aries! Last month your ruler Mars entered your work assignment area, and that means you will be working steadily from now on, at least until July 3. The assignment on your desk will be complex and require your full concentration, for you will have details to sort and strategy to oversee. The fact that Mars is your ruling planet is important, and tells me how dearly you want this project to succeed and how much loving care you will give it. Good! This project has the power to bring you to new career heights - ones you’ve never imagined.

The fact that you will be working consistently from now, December, through early July has to be good news, especially so if you are self-employed or if you’ve been unemployed for a time. Even if neither of these instances applies, it has to be good to know that your services will be in demand and that your office will be popping with new projects.

For now, watch the weekend of December 3-4 for your career popularity to reach highs, for Venus and Mars will be beautifully oriented toward each other. To add icing to the cake, the moon will be in Aries then too, putting you in the spotlight. That weekend just dazzles for career success, and good fortune may spill into Monday, December 5, too (and lucky you, the moon will still be in Aries then).

Mars will be ideally positioned to Pluto in your tenth house of fame, and at the same time, to Jupiter in your second house of money paid to you as salary. This tells me that this long-term project is likely to pay you generously and ALSO bring prestige and honors for a job well done. This sounds like a rare win-win situation! If you will be working freelance for a first-time client, the person you will be reporting to would be likely to be impressed, and it shows the work you do on this job can bring you bigger and even better assignments in the future.

Still, you will need to be patient. Mars is moving ever so slowly, which means your projects will too. Whatever time frame you are given, realize you will likely need more time than you assume. Mars will go retrograde next month from January 23 to April 13, a very long time, so there may be some backtracking, tweaking, and discussions as the project goes along. That’s normal, and it has nothing to do with your performance. Mars is your ruler, so when it goes backward, you feel it.

That does not mean you won’t get your ideas approved - you will - but all things will take time. You will have to keep the faith that things will go in your favor even though you will initially have no evidence that they will during the early months of 2012. Keep pressing forward and believe in yourself, for in the end you will do so well! You will have VERY powerful help from Jupiter and Pluto, both in perfect position in very early mathematical degrees of earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn respectively, in perfect angle to Mars.

On top of this, we just came through an important solar eclipse in Sagittarius (3 degrees) last month on November 25, that may cause you to you take a trip very soon (if you didn’t already). Or you may also see opportunities suddenly open up in publishing, broadcasting, digital media, or academia. Solar eclipses like this one often mark new beginnings. The problem is, as all these new chapters are about to open for you, Mercury is retrograde, and so you may have to deal with a few obstacles or delays. Again, this is all temporary.

Mercury rules thinking and reasoning, but often during these phases, our thinking is not exactly sound. Be sure you keep your eye on what matters. That sounds easy, but the probability of getting sidetracked always rises when Mercury is retrograde. We tend to emphasize the wrong qualities or elements of the mix when making a decision. I can give you an example, one of literally hundreds of possibilities.

In haste you may say to yourself, “I love the title of the new position I am being offered,” but you may not be mindful that the company you are ready to join is about to go out of business. In that case, your new title would not mean much as the captain of a sinking ship. (I am just making an example here.) The deck may be stacked against you if you are given the responsibility for the comeback, but none of the authority to make it happen. When Mercury is retrograde we don’t always have our priorities in order - we are human. We have to try harder to keep those priorities organized.

This is only an example, but it shows how emphasizing the wrong points of an offer or decision may throw off the outcome. Only much later, in the natural flowering of the event, might you say to yourself, “What was I thinking?” Wait to make a decision and you will be glad you did. Mercury will go direct December 13.

While we are on the subject of Mercury in retrograde, this is the holiday shopping season, but it will be important that you not purchase electronics yet. There are few times as dreadful for shopping for buying electronics items as when Mercury is retrograde, as the items are more likely to be faulty. Wait until a day or two AFTER December 13 for best luck to buy. Also wait until December 13 or later to announce important decisions or to sign contacts.

December’s biggest event will be the total lunar eclipse December 10 in Gemini, at 18 degrees. This will put a big focus on contractual matters, deals, legal matters, but also on spontaneous travel. Some or all of these areas may become important to you this month. Additionally (or alternatively) your sister, brother, or cousin may also have news to share within five days of this date.

Mars will be at hard angle to this eclipse, suggesting your heavy workload may interfere with travel or other plans you may have, causing a string of ramifications and frustrations. Or, it may be that you don’t get along with a certain co-worker or subordinate (say, an assistant), and the tension between you may add to your stress. Your health will need care, so don’t disregard any slight signs that you may be in need of rest or medical attention.

Eclipses tend to bring up unexpected events from the outside world, over which you have no control. This will be a full moon, so something is about to end on or within a week of December 10 (unlike the eclipse last month, which would set something new in motion).

The situation that is happening now seems to be related to something that happened on the last eclipse in this series (in Sagittarius) June 15. That was also a lunar eclipse in similar degree to the one this month, in Gemini (only the one in June was in Sagittarius, Gemini’s opposite sign). Think back to the discussions you had in mid-June and to what you were dong - this eclipse will bring things forward another giant step in regard to that discussion or series of actions that happened back in June.

There are other possible implications from the December 10 eclipse. A woman may be leaving your environment and this person is most likely a neighbor, co-worker, sibling, or relative like an aunt or uncle. I can’t be entirely sure of the identity of the person in question (other than to say this person is most likely a female) for I cannot see all in your chart. By “leaving” I mean that person, say, a co-worker, may quit your company. For some reason this person won’t be part of your regular daily routine in the future in the same way she had been in the past. Eclipses call for change, so you will need to adjust.

If your birthday falls on April 7, plus or minus seven days, you will find a way to benefit from this eclipse, despite a few tensions it may bring up.

Some Aries are feeling the heat from Saturn opposed to their Sun. Specifically, if your birthday falls on April 13 plus or minus six days (yes, six days), you are feeling intense pressure from life in general, or from one person, such as a partner. If your birthday was named just now, watch your health, and give up any habits that might tear down your body - Saturn wants you to follow rules, to the letter, or you may feel consequences. Continue to get routine medical checkups.

If your birthday falls earlier in the sign, specifically prior to April 13, you have already come though the hardest testing phase of Saturn, but are probably still dealing with some of the fringe elements of this tough aspect. This difficult phase only comes by every 29 years, and you feel the most intense pressure from this taskmaster planet for about nine months as Saturn hovers over your Sun.

Something exceptionally positive and unusual is happening in regard to Saturn in that he will be in “mutual reception” with Venus in Capricorn, a trend that started November 26 and that will run through December 20. Any planet that is in mutual reception means it will buddy up with that planet in a very cooperative, supportive way, and each planet will act a little like the other as the two blend their energies.

In order to get a mutual reception, each planet must be in the sign the other rules. Saturn rules Capricorn, and Venus currently is IN Capricorn until December 20. Venus rules Libra, and Saturn is IN Libra until October. You see how hard it is to get one of these mutual receptions, but we have that most of the month with Saturn and Venus.

Saturn is now in your house of partners, so one person who you are attached to in love, or in business, seems to have shown his or her true colors lately. Perhaps this person has been a thorn in your side. OR it could be this person who is your partner in love or business may be someone you care about but who has been going through a difficult patch and needs your help.

This month Saturn will have a softer than usual influence, for he will be in mutual reception with Venus. Saturn will act like Venus, and Venus will act a bit more stabilizing, like Saturn. This bodes well for a close relationship - if you have had difficulty, this may be an opportunity to talk things out (prior to December 20). Venus will be in your house of fame and honors most of the month, and that translates into popularity with VIPs. You can do no wrong this month!

An even better career moment - the biggest of the year - will arrive December 24. This could be the best gift Santa has for you this season. This is the date of the new moon in your house of fame and honors, and it’s simply perfect for pushing talks forward and seeing the kind of professional results you dreamed about. You can settle a deal, or start to get solid gold offers for new positions in your career.

Jupiter will be in beautiful angle to this new moon, suggesting the salary offered is going to be substantial and generous. It will come as earned income (most likely salary), not as a gift, commission, or bonus. It will be in fine angle to Saturn too, indicating that you’ll feel greater security after this new moon appears. Uranus, however, will be acting up. Watch what you say to a top boss, lest you ruffle his feathers and feel some fallout. This would not be the time to forcefully exert your independence.

This is a new moon in Capricorn, and Saturn rules Capricorn, so Saturn will have the last word here - and it will be a positive, inspirational one. I maintain this new moon will be a boon to your career despite any unexpected little twists and turns the new moon might bring up from Uranus. This is the new moon you’ve long awaited since last year.

Jupiter has been retrograde since the end of August, so Jupiter has been weak, and you’ve been prevented from getting the kind of salary offers that you feel deserve and expect. Once you get to December 25, the day Jupiter goes direct, you will start to see how lucrative the offers can be now and in months ahead. You’ve been through a long financial drought, but all that is about to be corrected this month. Hooray!

This month, as you may have guessed, is a month about career advancement, money, publishing, broadcasting or academic projects, possible travel, and emphasis on family. What about romance? That will start to bring sparks once Venus enters highly compatible Aquarius on December 20 and stays until January 14.

You luck out again! New Year’s Eve brings the new moon to Aries again - and again you get things precisely as you’d like to see them. Wow, dear Aries! This is your month!

Monthly Horoscopes : Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21) Your Monthly Forecast December 2011

You are now in the process of renewing your life from the bottom up and from the inside out, due to a series of eclipses that have come by in Sagittarius and Gemini since they started a year ago, on December 21, 2010 (Sagittarius). Three more eclipses have come by since then, on June 1 (Gemini), June 15 (Sagittarius), and just last month, on November 25 (Sagittarius). The next is due on December 10, 2011 (Gemini). All these eclipses will be linked to each other in some way - it will be up to you to find the common thread.

Imagine your life as a puzzle, with different pieces of varying size and shape that fit together to form the whole. You get to choose some of those pieces that form your life, while others were and will be chosen for you by circumstance. Now, with the eclipses back in Sagittarius and Gemini, it’s time to examine each puzzle piece to see if each still fits your needs and lifestyle. If the universe deems one or more of these elements to be outworn or no longer of value to you, you will see that area of your life change or become deleted quite rapidly now.

You may wonder why an eclipse in Gemini is important to you. It is because it is the sign that falls six signs away from yours, and is therefore found opposite yours on the creaky horoscope wheel. Gemini represents your formal commitments to a sweetheart, as in marriage, but also promises you make to a business partner in a formal way, when you sign papers and make things official. Gemini also represents, in large measure, how the world views you, whereas Sagittarius indicates how you view yourself. Together they form a very important whole, so with the eclipses back in these signs for the first time in nine years, it’s time to update your concept of yourself - who you are, what type of partner would make you truly happy, what goals you have now that no longer interest you, and which new ones you would like to replace with any that you feel you may have outgrown.

Eclipses usually bring dramatic elements from the outside world to your doorstep, through conditions over which you have no control. It’s all done to strengthen you. You’d be wise to go with the flow of events, rather than try to resist them. A better, much more productive life awaits you after the debris is taken away.

The most important change will be in your own self-image - it’s time to see yourself in a new and updated form, and to give yourself credit for all you’ve learned and mastered. It’s been nine years since the last series of eclipses occurred in Sagittarius and Gemini (those were in 2002 and 2003, and before that, the one that came December 9, 1992, was the most similar). It’s time now to reset your compass. After this series of eclipses is over, friends, family, and all the people you come into contact with will view you in a new light too, immediately, or gradually, in the coming year as you transform yourself before their eyes.

Your closest relationship is about to become your total focus when the total eclipse of the moon arrives in Gemini, 18 degrees, on December 10. This is a highly emotional eclipse, the second of a pair, for the first one arrived last month on November 25, in your sign of Sagittarius. While the last eclipse of November 25 encouraged you to think about your own needs, this new one this month will help you decide if a partner is for you. Full moon lunar eclipses, like this one, will end things, but the so-called ending might be the end of your single status when you get engaged for Christmas, Hanukkah, your birthday, or New Years. Or, it may be a real ending, and you break up. I am so sorry to have to even suggest this possibility.

The universe wants you to be productive, and to that end, will jettison any relationship it feels is not in your interest. If the universe finds this relationship to have no future value to you, it will blow it away with the force of a hurricane. The universe wants you to use your time on earth well, dear Sagittarius, so it’s time to decide - to stay and commit, or turn and leave without regret, hearing the door latch shut as it closes behind you. If someone should break up with you, it is unlikely it can be reconciled - eclipses tend to have a finality about them that is non-negotiable.

Indeed, eclipses speak clearly, in black-and-white terms. If you are in love, you both will be giddy as you go out among the snowflakes to shop for rings. If the universe feels you need to know a certain truth about your partner, it will illuminate things with a flood of daylight. If you were unsure whether your partner truly loves you, you will find out, and possibly the news will be wonderful - yes!

If you thought your partner was loyal and true, you may, on the other hand, find out otherwise. Often news is delivered in a casual offhand way that we simply don’t see coming, and the shock element of an eclipse can leave you shaken. With an eclipse coming so close to your birthday and to the holidays, this can be a hard time for you if your decision is to leave. Trust that the universe is not trying to hurt you, but just the opposite, to protect you. In life, we can only hope for truth, for without it, we are left at a terrible disadvantage, and things can go from bad to worse. If you are leaving a situation or relationship, it will be because it was toxic or weak, and it would have been bad for you to stay in it any longer. That’s sometimes hard to see without the perspective of time, but have faith that someone infinitely better for you exists and that in time you will find that person.

If you are on the other side of this equation, learning that you are, indeed, ready for marriage and serious commitment, then this can be a time of wonder and magic. I dearly hope this is how things will work out for you. Keep in the forefront of your mind that the person in question (that I am discussing here) might not be a romantic partner, but rather, a business partner whom you need to commit to or leave, and things in that case would move along just as rapidly when this person’s true colors, for good or not good, become apparent.

The closer your birthday falls to December 10 (plus or minus five days), the more you will feel the power of this eclipse.

If you are a November-born Sagittarius, the solar eclipse that came by on November 25 was to touch you more directly than this month’s eclipse. In fact, in your case, this month’s eclipse may be too far from your Sun to have anything but a very mild effect. (I can’t see everything in your chart, and I don’t know if you have any planets in Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces, or Virgo at 18 degrees, the degree of this eclipse. If you do, you would feel this one too.)

You may want to read all about what I wrote for you in last month’s forecast. The engineers at Astrology Zone always keep the previous month’s forecast available to you. If you’d like to see it, just scroll down to the bottom of this forecast and you will see the hyperlink under the Dates to Note. We recently made the link bigger so you could find it more easily.

Making a decision may be a bit hard initially because as you enter the month, Mercury will still be retrograde until December 13. Mercury is the planet of communication - think of Mercury as the planet with a very high IQ and superb speaking and reasoning skills - and he imparts his gifts to us. However, when he is retrograde, he withholds all his powers, and we mere mortals below are left to stumble around to cope as best we can until he awakens again. Things can, and often do, go haywire. We sign contracts and fail to notice the one clause that is capable of putting us in danger if we don’t change the wording. We choose the wrong item to buy (Mercury rules commerce too) and later we wonder what we were thinking when we bought it.

Mercury rules communication, translations, thinking and perception, commerce, transportation, software, computers, and electronics and things of that nature that need to be operating in good form to keep the world spinning as it should. Without Mercury’s help we become forgetful or confused, and we have bad lapses in judgment.

Whenever Mercury is retrograde, let that be an instant signal to you that conditions are rapidly changing up ahead, but those shifts are not apparent just yet. That’s what makes this period so treacherous - everything looks so normal and the same as before, but key elements are not the same and they are changing. If you announce a decision now, you will later say, “Had I known what was to come, I would have never made that decision!” Be kind to yourself and simply wait to announce or agree to anything important until after December 13.

On the same day as the eclipse, December 10, Uranus will speed direct, and that’s news, as Uranus has been retrograde since July 9. Uranus is currently making a long journey through your love sector, so this is a positive indication that your love life is about to pick up speed and head in the right direction. Those who are in love will make a confident decision soon after Mercury goes direct December 13. Attached Sagittarius who have been unsure about whether to have a baby will feel more certain and optimistic now that they are ready - pregnancy is favored now.

If you are single, or if you should break up with someone important under this eclipse of December 10, the universe is being kind to turn Uranus direct now. You will have so many options to find the right person for you, just at holiday time. I realize that if this was a serious relationship that you assumed would last forever, you may not be ready to date yet. Uranus will stay in strong orbit until October 2012, so you have lots of time. It has to be comforting to know you have a strong future outlook for love, dear Sagittarius.

There is MORE good news. Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, is your ruling planet and has been retrograde since August 30 of this year. On December 25, Jupiter will turn direct and stay that way for months. When your ruler is in strong shape, everything starts to click again. Say goodbye to the sputtering and backtracking that you had to do in your career - you’re about to move ahead with gusto once Jupiter is on track again, and once Mercury is moving direct too (as Mercury rules your professional house of fame and honors). Jupiter is currently in your work and health sector, so those areas will see a noticeable up-tick.

Furthermore, Uranus, in your fifth house, rules your inventive, imaginative side, and with Uranus going direct, if you work in a creative or scientific profession, you will find it easier then ever to come up with innovative ideas that dazzle higher ups. No more creative blocks or periods of indecision. You will be so glad when all these big planets start to move ahead. I see Uranus, Mercury, and Jupiter in my mind’s eye as three huge jumbo jets, lined up on the runway, and one after the other, given the go-ahead from the air traffic control. You will feel the power of liftoff, again and again, throughout the month, and you’ll love the change.

There is another important point to make about your career. You are so fortunate to have Mars currently moving through your tenth house of fame and honors from now through early July 2012. Now that Mercury, the ruler of this house, goes direct on December 13, you should start to see certain talks reach accord, and you will be able to move ahead. You may not be pleased with the pace, however - Mars is still moving slowly and will slow even more in January, as Mars is about to go retrograde January 23. Get the vital things signed and sealed in early January, prior to the full moon January 9, and then sit tight, working slowly and methodically toward your goal.

Concerning your health, it’s vital that you take very good care of yourself, especially near December 10. Eclipses that occur in your sign or opposite sign can be draining and quite hard on the body. Continue to keep up with medical checkups, follow a healthy diet, and get enough rest. If you were following a program your doctor designed for you, this would not be the time to cheat on it - no, no. Eclipses look for weak links, and along with examining your relationships, this eclipse on December 10 will look at the health of your body and show up any parts that might need attention or need to be strengthened. If anything is wrong, the eclipse will show you clearly what it is and give you time to attend to it.

In terms of your finances, your picture is bright, as the new moon of December 24 could be your friend. It is beautifully angled to Saturn, which will increase your feeling of stability. It is also well angled to Neptune, which will allow you to get funding for a home-related goal, such as a home-improvement loan, new mortgage, or refinancing plan. This is the single best time of the year to ask for a raise in salary at work. (To be clear, this is not money you would win, but money you would earn.)

If your company is open for business during the last week of December, that new moon will be very strong at that time, so you would be wise to ask immediately for your raise at that time. All new moons are strong for two weeks after they appear, but always are the strongest immediately. That new moon’s energy of December 24 will continue to fade a little with each passing day, until you reach the full moon, January 9, a time when all the new moon’s energy will have been spent. That is why I say, go in and ask for that raise immediately.

If you are self-employed, you may get a sterling client during the end of December, at a time all your competitors have closed shop for the holidays. If you work weekends in a seasonal, retail, or restaurant business, expect business to be brisk after Christmas!

If you plan to go away for a holiday at the end of December, then act on the possibility to get a raise during the first week of January. If you are starting a new job in January, you have already negotiated your new salary, and it will start showing up in your paycheck. Well done.

There is one glitch with this new moon, in that it will be in hard angle to Uranus, indicating money may go out just as fast as it comes in. Your son or daughter may need a lot of cash suddenly (Uranus is in your fifth house), or for a creative project that is suddenly about to cost much more than you imagined it could! Keep your antenna up and be ready for anything.

Alternatively, it be that you are about to spend quite a bit of money on a vacation. As a Sagittarius you love to travel, so I am smiling as I write this. For YOU, travel is always money well spent, for it has such a strong and positive effect on your outlook. So in this case, go ahead! I will add that Uranus brings unexpected developments out of the blue, so keep an eye on your checkbook, lest the expense rock you in a way you never expected.

New Year’s Eve has the moon in Aries - you are so lucky! That’s the perfect place for the moon to be for you to have an enchanting romantic evening. You must plan to be out, if not with someone special, then with friends. This night holds all sorts of surprises, and they are likely to be ones you like.

Happy New Year, dear Sagittarius!
