November and December will be big, important months, because planets will be playing musical chairs and shifting into new positions. By having planets in new signs, new elements will be added to your life, and things won’t feel as stuck as they have felt for you lately. Last month, from October 5 to 13, was likely a very tough time, so hearing that just about any changes are due is a welcome thought.

This month the eclipses will be back again too, but before you get anxious (thinking about all the changes they wrought in 2009, 2010, and in January and in mid-year), there will be no more eclipses in Cancer-Capricorn, and those are the ones you found difficult. The new ones are now in Gemini-Sagittarius, signs that blend better with your Libra Sun, so in many ways, things are getting better. These eclipses will continue conversations that came up in June, when the last eclipses came by June 1 and June 15. There will be one solar eclipse on November 25, a friendly and encouraging new moon. Next month the lunar eclipse in Gemini will appear December 10.

The one planet that has likely caused the most pressure lately has been Saturn in Libra. I was thinking about you, dear Libra, and how you have been coping with Saturn since he began visiting your Sun over the past two years. There is a metaphor that fits here. When you buy an expensive box of chocolates, chances are, at the start, you dip in and enjoy two or three pieces. Later, as friends and family join in to have their selections and there are fewer left, you tend to indulge more sparingly, eating only one or two, to try to make the chocolates last longer. Similarly, Saturn teaches that time and resources are precious, and so to show how to conserve, he will bring constricting or limiting circumstances. In short, you do more with less.

It may be hard to admit that his methods work, because the whole process can at times be painful. Now, having had Saturn with you for two years, and with one more year to go, you are becoming quite adept at appropriating money, negotiating well for yourself, and finding new ways to effectively compete in the marketplace. Most Libras have already come through the most direct rays of Saturn, although Libras born October 14-22 are now being highlighted, and will now complete their final course with Saturn during the coming next eleven months. If your birthday has not been named, you are mostly done - the coming months will be easier. Once Saturn leaves your sign, he will not be back again until 2039, and the second time you experience Saturn in your sign is usually easier, because you will have already learned a lot from his previous visit, the one you are having now.

Let’s have a look at November. Late last month, you may have noticed that you were seeing an usually strong emphasis on money, as a result of the very positive and helpful new moon, October 26. That new moon arrived in your second house of earned income and personal resources and was one of the sweetest of the year.

That October 26 new moon will continue to bring you opportunities to make money and settle financial matters during the first ten days of November. Two days after the new moon arrived, Jupiter and Pluto made a very encouraging, decisive aspect on October 28 that brought family matters, money, or a real estate situation into focus. This likely benefited you but may still be an ongoing matter as you work to finish up the details. When Jupiter signals Pluto, big profits can be made or large sums of money delivered - this is one of the most lucrative of all aspects possible.If you did not yet ask for a raise in your present job late last month, then by all means, do so during the first week of November. If you are not currently employed, and hope to be, then make a concerted effort to find a paying job that could bring in cash.

To be clear, the vibrations at the start of November are not about fame or honors, nor about prestige or accomplishment, but rather about finding ways to make money. There is nothing wrong with that! Many people have been out of work for a long time. If you’ve been thinking, “I need a way to earn money - now - and I don’t care if my new job is a step up or not,” then by all means go out to discover what the world holds for you. There are times in our lives when we need money, and we have to be practical. With three planets working together in earth signs, being practical and realistic is the key to success.

In early November, if you did make a decision or take an action concerning financial matters, there may still be some small details that will still need to be sorted out. They won’t take long.

The month’s full moon will be in Taurus, 18 degrees, and will light your solar eighth house of other people’s money on November 10. Within four days of November 10, the full moon will conclude your focus on money matters. You may get a big check or send a large one, or both.

The eighth house, so lit up on November 10 plus or minus four days, includes such things as bank loans, creditors, taxes, inheritance, venture capital, mortgage, refinancing plan, court settlements, university financial aid and scholarships, insurance companies, and similar types of funding and money owed. This full moon will not bring tension like last month. This one is rather friendly.

In fact, this full moon may give you an opportunity to make money, for generous Jupiter and powerful Pluto will still be within tight mathematical aspect, even though these two planets technically already “met” at a peak on October 28. Slow moving planets always have life and light left to them after their mutual aspect has peaked and they are preparing to go their separate ways. Happily, this is one of those times. After November 10, plus four days, your focus on financials will be greatly reduced.

Having said that, I will add that you will have one especially sparkling day for money coming up on November 16, when Mars will send a message to Jupiter in your eighth house. This would be a great day for scheduling a business meeting, interview, or presentation. I also feel strongly that you will benefit from a matter having to do with one of your parents, a real estate transaction, or an inheritance, if not immediately, then sometime this month or in the first three months of 2012.

Another incredibly lucky day for your finances will be November 28, when Venus and Jupiter work together on your behalf. You truly are a money magnet this month!

Whatever happens this month concerning money seems to be connected to talks that took place October 26-31. One way or another, I see large sums of money coming to you.

Now let’s look at what Mars will be doing, for certainly, Mars will create headline news. What makes this particular move of Mars into Virgo so important is that Mars is planning to spend an unusually long time in the sign. Usually Mars spends about seven weeks in any sign he visits, for Mars takes two years to circle the Sun and the entire zodiac. This time, Mars is set to stay in Virgo for nearly eight months, from November 11, 2011 to July 3, 2012. This means that whatever trend you see surface in mid-to-late November or December will continue to be in place during the entire first half of 2012.

Mars will light your solar twelfth house, ruling several parts of life, so let’s look at how things could play out for you. Let me say first that the twelfth house is the last house of the zodiac and is naturally ruled by Pisces. It symbolizes the primordial waters of creation and indicates the time before birth, while we were still being formed. It is considered a highly creative part of the chart, for it rules the subconscious mind, intuition, dreams, and all things that might be referred to as “right brain” thinking.

During the time Mars will be in your twelfth house, November 11 to July 3, 2012, you might enter a period of psychological counseling to discuss a fear, unsettling memory, or other troubling experience to gain an improved perspective. Or you may want to check into a rehab center to become free of a habit that has held you back or harmed your health.

This area of the chart is associated with healing, and so if getting healed interests you, because the ruler of your solar twelfth house, Mercury, will be beautifully oriented toward Uranus on November 3, that would be the day I would suggest you start your treatment. It is alternatively possible that you will have an operation to fix a medical problem and will check yourself into a hospital this month for your procedure if your doctor recommends you do.

Sometimes Mars in the twelfth house translates differently. You may become the designated caretaker for someone you love, or for a person you were hired to help. Mars in this house could have you be interacting with doctors and other medical personnel quite a bit. Even under the likely situation that you will be hired to help a person who is currently infirmed in a hospital, rehab center, nursing home, physical therapy center, or other “place of confinement” as the ancient astrologers referred to this area of the chart, I sense that your feelings will be quite bound up with the person you will be helping, and you will care very much about this person’s progress. That says a great deal about your good heart, dear Libra.

The twelfth house is also the area of the chart that we work in solitude to focus intently on assignments or a serious pastime that we are passionate about, or one that is complex and requires research, meditation, or plenty of attention to detail. As an example, you may be writing a manuscript for a book, preparing an important report or white paper, or completing a college thesis. There are few aspects as powerful as having Mars in the twelfth house for furthering intense concentration behind closed doors, for you would be able to block the distractions of others from your work. If you do plan to work in a big project, aim to get everything done by July 3, or a bit sooner. You will have plenty to be proud of by then.

Before this trend begins on November 10, you may want to make dates to see friends for lunches and dinners, for Mars will still be stirring up quite a bit of social opportunity for you then!

November 3, a day I mentioned earlier for other reasons, is sure to be special for you because Venus, your ruler, in friendly Sagittarius, will receive shimmering vibrations from Uranus, a wonderful aspect for finding new love or for engendering a sparkling time with someone you are attached to now.

Neptune, until now retrograde since June 3, will move direct on November 9, and this, too, will help you see more fun in weeks ahead. Neptune is now in his final days of Aquarius, getting set to leave your fifth house of romance in early February. Neptune has been in this area of your chart since January 1998 (yes - thirteen years!) and may have brought a lovely, lyrical experiences in love for you at points during that time, and fun with children as well, possibly.

Now that Neptune is moving direct on November 9, it means he will become stronger and work to help you in a more direct way. To reiterate, Neptune will not leave your house of love until early February. While you have him, enjoy him!

On November 24, Venus will signal Neptune, so this could be a day you enjoy. In the United States, that’s Thanksgiving Day, which for you, will be quite special this year.

This is also a big month because the eclipses will start to appear again, and the first, a friendly new moon solar eclipse, is due in Sagittarius, 3 degrees, on November 25.

Just to satisfy your curiosity (before getting into what this month’s eclipse will bring) the second eclipse (they always come in pairs) will arrive two weeks later, on December 10, as a full moon lunar eclipse in Gemini (18 degrees). Next month I will talk about that lunar eclipse, but for now, let’s focus on the eclipse in Sagittarius on November 25.

Both this month’s eclipse and the one next month will have you traveling more than you have in recent months, perhaps quite spontaneously and unexpectedly. If you do go away, it appears to be for business - you will have a goal in mind, and you will want to come back with the order.

There are other ways this eclipse may work for you, however. Again the topic of communication and possible writing or speaking will come up, something I mentioned in connection with Mars in Virgo, above. It may be that you are working on a major manuscript or other document, or you may be focused on launching an advertising or publicity campaign. You may be working on a social media project or debuting a blog or Website. Or you may take on a teaching position where you will instruct students in an international setting - foreign people and places are coming up as strong themes, too. Solar eclipses are new moons, and those usually open new paths and bring fresh opportunities. This could be exciting!

It is also possible you may be working on a contract or other paperwork, but you must not seal any agreement yet, as Mercury will begin to retrograde from November 24 to December 13. You will not lose the opportunity by waiting, and in fact, you may gain a better one by not being hasty. Mercury will retrograde in Sagittarius, the sign that rules your house of communication (third house), so you will feel this retrograde a bit more strongly than most.

The third house rules buying and selling, so you will want to avoid buying any electronic items, from a smartphone to computer, car to kitchen appliance, while the retrograde is in place. I realize Mercury will interfere with holiday shopping. You can make small purchases (say, under $200) for non-electronic gifts, as long as you promise to save the gift receipt! Go the extra mile to find out the correct sizes of the recipients, and the stores they enjoy most to shop in.

This new moon solar eclipse of November 25 may also bring news from your sister or brother, either immediately near November 25 or by the next eclipse, December 10. You may want to check in with your sibling to catch up on family news, or if you don’t have a sibling, with your cousin, also covered by the third house. Overall, your family members will be playing an important role in your life now and in weeks ahead, including aunts and uncles, so you may be hearing from them more than usual.

Dear Libra, the eclipses have solidly shifted away from Cancer-Capricorn for good, the signs they have been in since July 2009, and most recently on July 1, 2011. Now that the eclipses are in a new family of signs, Gemini-Sagittarius, they will produce changes that will be easier for you to assimilate. This month’s eclipse is a very friendly one, for it will receive powerful help from Uranus. This tells me what comes up will be unexpected, but should please you.

If your birthday falls on September 26, or within five days of this date, you will benefit the most. I am happy to say this, for you have been dealing with far more than your share of tension lately. I have singled out your birthday quite a bit in my columns (not for the best reasons), but this eclipse will help make a correction by bringing good news. Finally, you are about to get a break - luck is coming your way.

If you were born at other times of the month and you know your chart, look to see if any planets are at 3 degrees, plus or minus four degrees - those planets will be feeling the eclipse too, and in a very friendly way if they are in Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius.

At the same time as the eclipse, from November 16-28, a beautiful golden triangle, linking Mars in Virgo (confidentiality and solitude), Jupiter in Taurus (large chunks of money), and Pluto in Capricorn (family, real estate), will work together in early degrees of earth signs. This is really wonderful, so I am sure you will feel very fortunate.

The month will end on a lovely note. Venus, your ruler, will signal Jupiter, helping you see gratification on an important aim, November 29. This will be another fabulous day for financial news too, as said earlier. You will love the weekend of November 26-27. Be sure to use it for something special!

In terms of your most romantic relationship, you will soon see that your interactions improve now on a near-miraculous level. Your closest partner has not always been predictable or easy to deal with, but you seem to have worked out differences and are well on your way to experiencing deeper trust. If any problem still lingers, you can still attempt to hash things out this month, confident things will go your way. Getting away together would fan the fires of love and the trip can be both quick and nearby. Even daytrips or overnight visits to nearby towns would work its magic, for Venus will stay firmly planted in your travel sector all month and help you spin a lyrical episode of love.

You’ve just come through a rather exhaustive few months, but by contrast November will be soothingly calm and sweet. Planets will be friendly to one another, and unlike last month, during the first two weeks of October when very stressful aspects taunted most everyone, by comparison, November has a lighter, easier feel.

As you enter November, the gorgeous new moon that appeared on October 26 will still be sending you golden vibrations. Money will begin to pour in to your bank account in the first week, and that’s always fantastic news. Not only was that new moon one of the cheeriest of the year, it also coincided with the best aspect, Jupiter in perfect angle to Pluto. Whenever these two planets get together, profit or a generous sum of money usually results, in one way or another. If you were negotiating a fee for a new venture, and you signed papers late last month, then this business deal will do VERY well. If you did not sign last month, do so quickly, in the first few days of November, to capture those vibrations before they fade.

You need not be doing a new venture to benefit - there are other ways you can. If you work on a freelance, contractual, or commission basis, you will do well, too. It looks as though you will get a large chunk of cash, arriving all at once. I say that because your eighth house will be lit up quite a bit by the new moon, so money would not be parsed out like salary but rather in a one or two time payment. The money you see seems to have to do with a creative endeavor you’ve been involved in lately. You’ve turned out shining work, and now you will collect your rewards. Alternatively, the money owed to you may have taken a while to show up, or may be money that you never anticipated, that just shows up. Someone who cares about you may send you an expensive gift or check, or you may receive some other windfall. Either way, seeing a large bundle of cash is always welcome, and certainly will put you in a perfect frame of mind to go out and make even more.

The full moon this month, November 10, will also emphasize money. It will fall in your second house of earned income, and this house rules not only money that you earn as salary, but also money you spend, say, for something expensive. It may also be that instead of buying expensive items, you may send your credit card company a large check or satisfy any other financial obligation.

As you see, there’s a big emphasis on money, and all of the news should be upbeat. At this juncture, you may get news back about a deal you are trying to crystallize, or a raise you’ve persuaded your boss to approve for you. If you’ve been interviewing for a brand new job, you will settle the salary within four days of November 10. This full moon does not make any key aspects, but happily, Jupiter in this same house will be still be close enough and in the right position to beam golden vibrations up to Pluto in your tenth house of fame. I am betting you will love the way things play out. Prestige, money, power - it all can be yours now if you act in November. Any position you discuss at the start of November, or did at the end of October (the best time), would have considerable weight - it’s the job you want!

Mars, your ruling planet (and therefore one we have to watch carefully each month), will move into your house of workaday assignments on November 10. Mars will not stay his more typical seven weeks, but for nearly eight months, taking you all the way to July 3. Take special notice of what happens in your life, especially in terms of work projects, during the second half of November, for you will be given clues of a major trend that is just starting up then. It seems to have something to do with an emerging project that will entail many complex pieces and require a lot of detailed work, and it go on for many months. This is all good - you will be working and making money. Mars will go retrograde from January 23 until April 13 so you need to expect a lot of tweaking and backtracking, and things probably won’t show impressive shapeup until May or June. No matter - that is how it’s supposed to be. This project calls for patience and perfection, and you more than most will be capable of delivering that.

Romance is also coming up strong for you too, and although it may not be a main focus because you have so much more on your mind, you do have opportunities before Mars hits Virgo. In the first ten days, Mars, your guardian planet, will move through your fifth house of true love as the month opens. You had this placement of Mars last month, so this means love is in the air! If you met someone last month, pay attention - that relationship shows promise. If you didn’t, you only have until November 10.

If you are single and hope to meet someone new, you will have to circulate in the first days of the month. Mars in Leo is simply wonderful for you - it would be a shame to miss this opportunity! It will be two more years until you have anything similar to this again! All it takes is the meeting of one special person, dear Aries. Aries who were born April 14 to 19 will be most favored for love now, as Mars has moved deeply into the last degrees of Leo, sending bright and sparkling rays to you to help you find an enchanting love relationship.

There is another element going on in your chart that will help your love life, at least while Mars is in your house of true love! Venus will be in Sagittarius from November 2-25, and so within that period, from November 2-9, Venus in Sagittarius and Mars in Leo (both fire signs) will work hard for you. Put a gold star on November 3 when Venus will wink at Uranus - this day chemistry should be spectacular with anyone you meet.

If you are already attached, you may decide to take a trip together next month, or to even discuss having a baby. This would be a good time to try for conception (November 1-9) for the same energy that shines so brightly for love will make you very creative, so if you do have a project, or even a passionate personal interest or pastime, you would be wise to set aside time to experiment and devote time to your project to see what emerges - it should be special.

Venus in Sagittarius makes this a good month to think about refreshing your appearance, but do so early in November. I suggest you do so on November 3, 7, or 8 (the latter two days November 7 and 8 bring the moon to Aries, getting double stars). Hurry, though, for your golden vibrations are fading.

You will need to get things done by the full moon, November 10, plus or minus four days, for soon after, Mercury will retrograde November 24 to December 13. If you need to buy an important, expensive, electronic item, you must do so in the first two weeks of November, or else wait to do so at the last minute, during the second half of December. Mercury is the planet of communication, transportation, commerce, and all thinking and judgment. It’s never wise to make any big purchases under Mercury retrograde periods as we don’t see the road ahead clearly, and later you will likely regret the purchase because you will be wondering what you were thinking about when you bought what you did.

Whenever Mercury retrograde occurs during a given year, let it be a signal to you that conditions are changing rapidly, but where they will go is still unclear. With upcoming conditions shifting, it is never wise to make decisions during a Mercury (thinking) retrograde period. Your reasoning ability will prove to be faulty, something you won’t see until later. If you get all things done in the first two weeks of November, you will be in better shape, and if you were making a truly big decision (like to buy a house or take a new job) I would recommend waiting until after December 13. You will lose nothing by waiting.

You may need to travel spontaneously on November 22, and if you do, you’ll love all the events that occur! You must go, for your goals will be realized, much to your surprise, dear Aries.

There is another reason that it would be wise to wait. This month holds the year’s happiest eclipse, November 25, a solar eclipse in Sagittarius, 3 degrees, a fire sign like yours. You will like the effects as this eclipse is not at all like the ones you experienced in 2009, 2010, or in early July 2011. This is a new moon, so something new is starting up, and when you hear the news, you may be surprised. The Sun, Venus, and Mercury will accompany the new moon eclipse, putting a lot of energy in your “big thinking, big adventure” ninth house. You may travel suddenly, and if so, you’d be covering quite a number of frequent flier miles.

The eclipse will encourage travel, for the new moon eclipse will fall in your ninth house of broad horizons and higher learning, and will emphasize information, both the taking in and giving out. That means if you work in publishing or broadcasting, some sort of new opportunity should come up - and you’ll love it. If you hope to go back to the university soon, or if you are about to hand in a thesis or manuscript, or are taking a major qualifying test, you should do very well. This is the friendliest eclipse of 2011. You will have four heavenly bodies in your house of long-distance and foreign travel, including Venus, so you may see big progress on an international relationship, an import-export deal, or citizenship in a foreign country. This would be the ideal time to settle those matters.

At the same time as this new moon solar eclipse, your career will also bring good news. There will be a gorgeous triangle in the sky, linking Pluto in your house of fame, Jupiter in your house of salary and compensation, and Mars in the house of work projects. The triangle is not mathematically exact, but it certainly is within orb. Mars will be at 7 degrees, Pluto at 6, and Jupiter at 2, and all three are in earthy, practical earth signs. Your career is blowing up, dear Aries, in the best sense!

I particularly love the day Mars and Jupiter are in tight mathematical conversation, November 16 - there is solidly good money to be made! The moon will be in perfect-for-you Leo, so this is a day you need to circle in red. I like November 15 too, as a day leading into this wonder-day for career and money matters.

Venus will move into your house of fame and honors, giving you all sorts of kudos and applause for a whole month to follow, from November 26 until December 19. Best of all, on November 27, and spilling over to Monday, November 28, Venus in your house of fame will receive golden beams from Jupiter, bringing you fantastic news about money.

There is much to be excited about, dear Aries, and although Mercury will retrograde, I think it may be a blessing. You will get a chance to catch up with old friends and clients, and with Mercury moving slowly, you will get a chance to catch your breath. Shop for holiday gifts early, in the first two weeks of November, or wait until after December 13, an even better time to do so. If you are organized, you can whip through your list quite efficiently.

If you send gift cards, no matter when you buy them, xerox all the cards you send. Last year one of my dear daughters Diana lost the card I gave her to the Apple store and she was frantic. I called Apple and told them I had xeroxed the card, so could they help me. They were incredulous - “You XEROXED the card?” said the young woman helping me. Then I told this nice lady who I was, and explained Mercury was retrograde when I bought it. She laughed, and said, “OF COURSE you xeroxed it. She told me she reads Astrology Zone, which was a wonderful coincidence. She looked up the card, cancelled it, and instantly issued Diana a new one. From now on, I will photocopy all the gift cards I give and keep them in a folder. I will tell the recipient I have those copies in case they lose the card and are too shy to tell me.

When I buy gifts, I tape the receipt to the inside of the bottom of the box, under the tissue paper, and tell the recipient she or he is honor bound not to look at it. If the recipient needs to exchange it, they have the receipt. I don’t have to go searching for it. My moon in Virgo, though, is a blessing - I keep all gift receipts in one large envelope. With Mercury going retrograde, this little habit could reduce your stress. Anything I can do to make the holidays more fun is a good idea! I also tape my business card to the underside of my computer and my smartphone, and slip it into my eyeglass case - anything I need NOT to lose! You may like that idea, too; it’s saved me!

This will be a delicious month, dear Sagittarius, and one of your favorites of all of 2011. You’ve been working hard, and finally you have come to the point when your talents will be recognized and you can attempt to reach for the brass ring. A much better position, one with all the responsibility and power that you always wanted, is now within reach, and to that end, Mars will help you.

There will be many shifts going on in the heavens in November, but the one that will affect you the most will be the new moon solar eclipse in Sagittarius, 3 degrees, on November 25. That friendly eclipse that will allow you to drive your life in precisely the direction you choose. Are you excited yet? Wow, dear Sagittarius, what a month!

Let’s start with the solar eclipse first, due to arrive November 25, which in the United States will fall on the day after Thanksgiving. This one will be the most encouraging eclipse this year, so you should like the developments that come up. Surprise developments will lift your spirits and put a wonderful bounce in your step. Your confidence and optimism will return with full force, and you’ll be excited about the new opportunities that will be sprout up like poppies. Solar eclipses open new doors and present a completely new picture of yourself and your life. You may change your own estimation of your talents and qualifications, and value them so much more. Good! Way to go, dear Sagittarius.

If you hear the word “eclipse” and immediately begin to become anxious, it may be because the other eclipses in the Gemini-Sagittarius series were challenging. Think back to the lunar eclipse in Gemini of December 21, which arrived in the degree of completion and endings, 29 degrees.

Then consider the eclipses that followed in the same family of signs this year, including the solar eclipse of June 1 in Gemini 10 degrees (friendly) and the lunar eclipse of June 15 in Sagittarius 23 degrees. (That one was not so friendly). Those eclipses, working together, helped to create changes and in some ways, to clear the decks to open a new path for the future. Alternatively, one or more of these eclipses pointed out weaknesses for you to fix. Those weaknesses might be in regard to your health, or way of thinking, such as with a wrong assumption. Once you saw the weakness, you could move to strengthen those spots.

Now this solar eclipse will come by to provide excitement and new elements of positive change. You may also change your appearance now in a stunning way, as gradual changes within your personality and outlook may finally bubble up to the surface. It is logical that when we see ourselves differently, it would later translate into a new way of arranging our appearance or style of dress. Spirit drives manner, attitude, and eventually, looks. You are now standing on the cusp of a whole new cycle, and you can choose the direction you would like it to take. The closer your birthday falls to November 25, the more eclipse this month will affect you.

At the time of the eclipse, the Sun, new moon eclipse, Venus, and Mercury will all be in Sagittarius, and such a buildup of energy in your sign will give you enviable control. This also suggests that you won’t have to compromise to get things the way you want. Indeed, it looks as though the pieces of your puzzle will fall almost effortlessly into place.

Mars, Pluto, and your ruler, Jupiter, will all work together to create what is called a “grand trine” or golden triangle in the sky to bring you a divine career opportunity from now through the coming months. Here is how each planet will contribute its gifts to you.

Mars is about to leave Leo, a sign and place it has toured since mid-September. Since that time, you may have had a chance to travel overseas or a far distance within your own country. International matters were glowing for you (and still are in the first 10 days). You may have taken on a publishing, broadcasting, international, or university / academic project that you were working on lately. If not, you will still have a chance to do so, or to travel prior to the day Mars leaves Leo on November 10.

On November 10, Mars will make its monumental entry into your tenth house of honors, awards, achievement, and fame. Mars will not stay for his more typical length of time, seven weeks, but for eight glorious months. The reason Mars will stay so long in one sign is that Mars will go retrograde January 23 to April 13, but this time, a retrograde will be a blessing. The universe will hold Mars back so that Mars could join hands perfectly with Jupiter and Pluto, all three in early degrees of their earth signs, to form a gorgeous golden triangle of harmony. This “grand trine” as it is called will help you get ahead in ways that will take your breath away.

Jupiter’s role is vital, for he is your ruling planet whose job it is to take very good care of you. While everyone, of every sign, will benefit from this beautiful aspect involving such three powerful planets, you are in a position to enjoy it more than most, because your ruler, Jupiter, will be involved. Jupiter is currently retrograde too, but will move direct on December 25, and from then on, your professional life will take off like a rocket.

With Mars assuming such a lofty place in your chart for so many months, at the tip top, in a place called the mid-heaven, you will have a very high profile in your industry. You will be seen as a leader, and others will come to you for direction.

Watch what happens on November 16, when Mars and Jupiter will be in perfect sync - you will get a big clue of the amazing breakthroughs you are about to experience in your career. Mars will bring the honors and prestige; Pluto, the generous salary; and Jupiter will likely bring you a plum assignment. In other words, Jupiter will bring the projects that will put you on the road to accomplishment.

Actually, one project seems to be reaching finality earlier, on the full moon November 10, plus or minus four days. This full moon will make no direct aspects to other planets, which is unusual, but it will occur in the same house that Jupiter happens to be based, your sixth house. Something about this project will please you and could easily make you proud. Keep your health up to par, as you will be using a lot of energy to finish up this project at this time.

Financially, once Venus enters your second house of earned income, November 26 to December 20, you should have no trouble nailing a good salary, but remember, you’ll do best after December 13. I do not see any unusual expenses coming up either - you seem to be sitting pretty!

There is one little tricky problem with November, in that Mercury will go retrograde from November 24 to December 13 and that will bring delays, but only temporarily. Mercury is the natural ruler of your house of professional achievement. This time Mercury will be in Sagittarius, so you will likely notice this retrograde more than most. Don’t let this get you disappointed. It’s only a three-week retrograde, and by going slowly, you will benefit. Sometimes it really is not wise to push forward rapidly. As juicy as your new career opportunities may be, take your time, and don’t give your final word until next month, AFTER December 13. If you can, give this date some space, as you shouldn’t butt up too close to the start or end dates of a retrograde.

Of course, if you get an offer earlier in the month, you can accept, say, by November 15, but be wary about giving your word any later.

Communication, transportation, agreements, negotiation, and the buying and selling of goods and services are all ruled by Mercury, so when retrograde, things tend to go haywire. If you ship a package, as undoubtedly you will for the holidays, be sure you have the correct address and ZIP code on the label - errors will bring the usual delays of Mercury out of phase. Sometimes people move and forget to tell their friends!

When you see that Mercury is going retrograde, which happens whenever Mercury gets to beyond 27.5 degrees away from the mighty Sun, the Sun yanks Mercury back. He does not want to travel without his agent! After all, Mercury has been called the Messenger of the Gods, for he is known to rule eloquent speech and bring a masterful talent for negotiation. Mercury is also known to be exceptionally clever. The problem is, when Mercury retrogrades, he sleeps, and all the areas of life he rules tend to go into disarray.

Buying holiday gifts could be problematic if you plan to buy some big, expensive gifts for people you love. You should be fine buying smaller gifts under $200, and if you promise to save all the gift receipts in one big envelope that you keep handy should one recipient want to make an exchange.

Notwithstanding what I just said, you should not buy any electronic gifts during the retrograde from November 24 to December 13. Mercury rules the moving parts of machines, electricity, and electronic devices, so it’s always a bad idea to buy electronics or to install complex software during Mercury retrograde. You can buy your electronic gifts in early November, or you can do so at the last minute, from December 14 onward.

Or, you can buy gift cards, which is another good idea, but be sure to photocopy the cards you buy so that you have the serial numbers if your recipient, or the courier, loses the card.

Now let’s turn to the topic of your home, which may be feeling a little cramped now, so you may be thinking about looking at a larger apartment or house, or considering a re-organizational of your present space. Neptune’s impending turn to direct speed on November 9 will be a big help in the coming seven months. You’ll get your chance to act in late February at a glorious new moon - you will need to be ready, so you might want to start reviewing your options soon.

Romantically, you seem to have a big advantage, as Venus will linger in Sagittarius from November 2 to 25. I am simply blown away by how many wonderful aspects you have going for you.

There will be some wonderful days to meet new people if you are single this month, the first coming immediately, November 2-3. Venus in Sagittarius will signal Uranus, and that means the sparks could be just right on this highly exciting night. This day may also bring good news about your career, so you’d be in a happy-go-lucky mood on these evenings.

Then, next, be sure to go out November 22-23, when the Sun, in Sagittarius, will receive a dazzling set of beams from surprise-a-minute Uranus in fellow fire sign Aries. Talk about great chemistry! This day should certainly please you.
