You are not a materialistic soul, but May is a glorious month for fattening your bank account. In early May, money will be a powerful motivating force for you. That’s not to say you would take a project solely for the money - that is not something you’d likely do. However, when offered a lot to do a project, you will pay attention and be flattered at how much faith the VIP in charge has in you. Overall, in this glorious month, you will find influential people eager to meet up with you, and as talks develop, you’ll be offered the kind of compensation you deserve. In the past, others have underestimated you, but no more. You’ve proven your worth, and it’s time to collect your due.

When Jupiter entered Aries a few months ago for the first time since 1999, Jupiter brought with him the promise for opportunities to make quite a bit of money. April, with its plethora of planets in Aries and stunningly generous new moon, appeared in your second house of money and should have been the moment when the money appeared. That may not have happened, however, leaving you frustrated and wondering if you were running out of both time and luck. Mercury was retrograde last month (March 30-April 23) and was the reason for the delays. Mercury has now regulated its speed, so you are on your way.

The outstanding number of happy planets that filled your second house of money last month is still there! This is remarkable as planets are always on the move, and to find them still there is highly unusual. In that house, as you begin May, you will have Jupiter (gifts and luck), Uranus (surprises), Mercury (news), Venus (profits), and Mars (action). Venus and Mercury will stay until May 11, and Mars, until May 15. Jupiter will leave your money sector on June 4. Although the window of opportunity is narrow, it is highly potent. You have all you need to make a very strong financial showing before those planets disperse to other parts of the solar system.

Uranus is also found in this, your second house of money, adding the likelihood of a twist you’d least expect. Uranus entered this part of your chart two months ago in March, and will stay many years, until March 2019. With Uranus, you never know which way things will go, but you are fortunate in that this month you have a rare crown of stars circling Uranus, making this month your most important of the year for all kinds of financial developments and deals.

The house under discussion is your house of earned income, so the money you see will likely be money you earn - although this is not necessarily the only way you would see cash come in. If you are owed money from others, Saturn in your eighth house shows that the money is coming in very slowly. Bankers who you might go to get help will be exacting and require a lot of paperwork. This does not mean you won’t prevail in the end, but you will have to have staying power to get it.

There are two important days to watch to see wonderful financial developments. The first will fall on May 1, when Mars, the natural ruler of your solar second house of earned income, will meet with Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck. Jupiter is associated with all things financial, so this is a promising date, indeed! If you begin a job on this date, it’s fortunate, or it may be that you get a text, email, or other communication out of the blue.

Your second important date for upbeat, happy news about money will be May 10, when Venus and Mercury (both) will align perfectly with generous Jupiter. This could be a day that brings much cause for celebration in regard to financial developments. Although these planets are joining forces in your second house of earned income, the presence of Venus also indicates a tie to eighth house funds. I will explain.

The eighth house rules other kinds of money including commissions, book advance or royalty, anything having to do with bank loans or lines of credit, tax settlements, mortgage or refinanced mortgage, severance, inheritance, insurance payouts, venture capital, inheritance, court / divorce settlement, pension - there are many options. One of the areas listed may represent a situation that you have been thinking about lately and bring new activity - and luck.

Last month you had such a great new moon, April 5, so you may have seen some encouraging developments. Mercury was retrograde, however, so while you may have been encouraged, and close to victory, you found that victory was not close enough to grasp it. Your bounty may have seemed too out of reach, leaving you feeling frustrated and perhaps fearful that you would never get your due. This month, in the first half of May, the group of cheerful planets in Aries will remain in the same area of your chart, your house of income, savings, and money, with a big difference - Mercury will be speeding direct. Now you will have your chance to finalize things. Aim to get things signed and sealed by the first half, when you will have the most support.

Your home will be highlighted on May 10 too, thanks to the meeting of Jupiter and Mercury. It’s alternatively possible that you may be approved by the bank for a home improvement loan, or that your parents will help you with a down payment on a house. Applications for a mortgage or refinancing plan should go well, and if you have to sign a lease, you might ask that the rent stay the same. Have that meeting on May 10! If you are in any sort of legal dispute, Mercury’s involvement suggests that your adversary will be fair and cooperative near May 10 too, no small blessing.

Concurrent to this emphasis on upbeat financial affairs will be an equally strong emphasis on your ability to communicate clearly and well. Most simply said, your talents in the communication arts will shape your success this month and for many months into the future. The more proficient you are in this field, the farther you will go. This begs the question: Would you like to take a class on creative writing, or to learn a new language? Would you like to train to be an editor (for magazines, newspapers, blogs, or for film)? Does taking a class on improvisation sound good? How about a seminar on public speaking or media training for TV? The better you are in all phases of communication, the more prized your services will be in coming months, all the way to June 2012, and beyond.

If you write or speak, Pluto has a lovely involvement with the May 3 new moon, indicating that your words may go out far and wide, and be heard by masses of people. This will be a very powerful new moon!

You will begin to notice things bubble up once the new moon in Taurus appears on May 3 and in the weeks that follow it. If you write, speak, edit, translate, or write computer code, you are in luck. If you are a copywriter, advertising professional, media strategist, social network expert, or work in any phase of sales, the same will be true - you’ll be in hot demand! Are you an expert at public relations, customer support, publicity, and marketing, or work in telecommunications? Great! Everyone will want you in their corner. There will also be benefits flowing to you if you work in the travel field or in the shipping / courier industry.

There are many ways how this generous, powerful new moon may affect you now or in coming months. You may sell a book idea, or be asked to become a contributing editor to a widely read, respected magazine. Or, the press may interview you on your recent work or as an expert on an important news story. You may shoot a TV pilot now or be given your own radio or TV show without a test tape. You might unveil your own blog or revamp your current website. On the other hand, you might write a killer app for a smart phone or iPad, or write, direct, or edit an award-winning documentary or entertainment film. You may compose a piece of music that goes viral. Alternatively, this would be the right month to launch an advertising or publicity campaign, and due to Pluto, to stage a promotion on social media. There are so many possibilities!

Travel will be very possible in May, and you may take a trip quite spontaneously. If you need a car, you may want to buy a new one in May, but if you hold off until mid-July, you will get one that gives you many miles to the gallon. Wait if you can, but if not, this is still a good time to shop.

If you were born within five days of March 3, you will benefit even more from this new moon than most of your Pisces friends. If you were not born near this date, you may have other planets in your chart that do blend beautifully with this new moon. Actually, this will be such a massive trend, thanks to Jupiter’s impending arrival in June, that all Pisces birthdays will reap benefits between now and mid-2012.

This month, this emphasis will grow stronger as soon as Mars enters your third house on May 15, to stay until June 20. In that time, Mars will act as a boost rocket to the new moon, May 3. Then, Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will enter this house on June 4 and remain there a full year, taking all the work of the new moon, Mars (and Venus and Mercury, too) and push it to a much bigger, more lucrative level. As you see, you are just cranking up!

By the full moon, May 17, it may be time to take, or plan, a distant trip. Until this point, you would be more likely to travel nearby, but this full moon will take you to a more distant city.

If you aren’t traveling within four days of the full moon May 17, you may be on Skype, the telephone, or on email a great deal with important people at a distance. At this time, the ninth house will be very fortunate to you, thanks to a blessing from Uranus that will be close-enough to help you. This means news that comes up will come up suddenly and out of the blue and make you very happy. This full moon falls in Scorpio, a sign that blends perfectly with yours.

Publishing, broadcasting, Internet, and telecommunications opportunities will again come up, but this time, those projects will be close to culmination. You may now choose to conclude a negotiation or be offered a new one. If you hope to go back to college or graduate school before you enter the work force, this full moon may bring a letter of acceptance or an interview that brings impressive results.

This full moon May 17 also falls in your ninth house of legal matters, so it could bring the end to a dispute or a sudden offer from the other side that you find fair.

If your birthday falls on March 16 plus or minus four days, or if you have planets in water signs (like Pisces, Scorpio, or Cancer) within five degrees of 26 degrees, this full moon will be your friend, and you will be delighted by the results.

Romance this month is possible, but as you see, you will be very preoccupied with other matters, too. Your best bet will be to travel with your loved one to sweet spots nearby, especially over the weekend of May 21-22. That’s why love planet Venus and macho Mars will align in your house of travel, bringing enchanting opportunities for romance. Venus will help you in many ways while she tours Taurus, a sign she loves to be in, for it helps her to heighten your sensuality. Jupiter is often associated with financial success. Both planets have ties to your solar third house of contractual agreements, so this day would be a sensational one for signing papers, or for making a speech, judging a contest, or sending an application. This date is a Sunday, so you will have Monday too, to use to your advantage before this energy fades. On Monday, May 2, you might want to have a special interview or presentation if doing so on Sunday is out of the question.

Next, you will have Tuesday, May 10, another outstanding, rare day, when Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter will all align in a very special way. Mercury rules your financial solar eighth house, bringing all sorts of good news about credit, loans, mortgage, scholarships, inheritance, court case settlements - any kind of funds that fall outside of your personal salary or savings would fit in this category. These types of funds will get a beautiful boost, so circle this day in red. Last month Mercury was retrograde, so although you had a great deal of energy in this part your chart in April, Mercury was spoiling things by creating delays, reversals, setbacks, and a need to backtrack. It must have been a frustrating time for you, because your agreements seemed close but not quite close enough, and you may have worried all would be lost. There is no need to be concerned. This month will bring a plethora of amazing opportunity for you, with not one of April’s drawbacks.

On this bright day, May 10, you might want to put in an application to a bank for a mortgage or refinancing plan, or send a bid on a house (or if you are the seller, accept one). Even if you were turned down last month with a buying situation, the opportunity to come back and put in another bid could be there for you. Your outlook for home and other properties is sensational, and honestly, it could not be better! This same day, May 10, may also bring good news about a deal you have been working on (or soon will) overseas or at a far distance from your base. There are other ways the five planets in Aries may help you in May. It looks very likely you would have a chance to travel, Short-distance travel seems likelier for you than long trips and appears to be taken to view real estate or to visit family. You may travel so much to nearby cities that you may decide to buy a new car, and if so, May would be your best, most ideal month to do so. Choose May 10!

The third house, so lit by planets, could also bring you in close contact with your brother or sister, a neighbor or cousin, and this person, so close to you, could be quite helpful to you in May. If, for example, you plan to buy a house with your brother, or open a business with your cousin, this would be the right time to make things official. Your outlook looks very bright for your venture. On even a simple scale, your sibling, cousin, or neighbor may make some interesting introductions for you - ones that turn out well in the future. The third house rules the neighborhood too, so along with this trend, you may see interesting shops pop up, or improvements made in your ‘hood that you will enjoy in the future.

This trend that I have been talking about will stay strong until May 11, the date that Mars, the energy planet, will move into Taurus. Venus and Mercury will follow suit on May 15, joining the Sun, already in Taurus as of last month, April 20. This means your solar fourth house, ruled by Taurus, is a growing hub of activity and will grow even bigger in weeks and months ahead. This area of your chart has to do with your home, other property, or your relationship with a family member, such as with your mother or father. (Parents are very prominent in this area of the chart.) The emphasis on this more private side of your life will begin at the new moon, May 3, plus two weeks.

This new moon will receive excellent vibrations from Pluto, so if you need a mortgage, refinancing plan for an existing mortgage, a home improvement loan, or money to care for a parent, you will be in a good position to get it. In fact, you may get help from other family members, or - an area you may find odd - from special government programs. (Pluto rules the government, so look into what might exist for you. Most of us are unaware of programs that exist, and if that describes you, just keep asking around. It’s amazing how good advice can come from those you know, even casually. With your good vibrations in Aries, a neighbor, a sibling, or cousin might well point you to the right sources to investigate.

Venus’ tour of your home sector from May 15 to June 8 will be a wonderful help to your plans if they involve improving the look of your home or property with the aim of making it more inviting. You may decide to start doing repairs, clean out closets or shampoo rugs, paint, decorate, or landscape your grounds. Here’s your chance to make things just as you hoped them to be. Venus is also known to be able to soothe relationships, and in this case, the relationship in question would be with one or both of your parents and those who help you with your home.

Mars will be in this same quarter, giving you a chance to be very productive. Mars has not been in your home sector for two years, so now that he is there, you can make fast tracks to achieving your plans. Mars can bring disagreements sometimes, but with Venus so near, strife is not likely - Venus and Mars enjoy being together and are known to set off sexy sparks of love whenever together!

On the weekend of May 20-22, Mars and Venus will unite, considered a gorgeous aspect for engendering love, harmony, grace, and beauty. It would be a great weekend to entertain friends and/ or family at home with a party large or small. It would also be a great weekend to browse weekend real estate and rent a cottage so that you could take a romantic summer vacation later. There are so many possibilities, all of them wonderful, and all will center on making your home the dream you want it to be.

Remarkably, next month, Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will enter your house of home, real estate, and family, and elevate all the home-related energies swirling about in May to a new level of excitement. Jupiter is in Aries now, but will move into Taurus June 4. Once Jupiter arrives, he will say until June 2012 and help you make your home-related plans grow and become even more elaborate and exciting than they may be now. Family support for your aims will be very strong from now on too, and relatives will back you in ways that may take your breath away. You haven’t yet seen the force of Jupiter - the last time Jupiter was in this house, it was early 2000 - but you will in time, and you’ll love every minute of this coming trend.

Your career will also be a big centerpiece too, and that will happen at the full moon, May 17, plus or minus four days. This full moon has a Puck-ish quality, and will bring twists and turns, and a big surprise, thanks to a golden beam from a friendly Uranus. If you get an offer for a new position, or conclude a negotiation for one, it is likely to be a top job that comes along with enormous prestige. You will have every reason to be proud.

Admittedly, you will have a lot going on at home at the time, so somehow you will have to juggle needs of both work and your home life. Full moons are filled with energy, and they force a fairly rapid decision so that you can move forward afterward. This suggests that you won’t have to feel like you are juggling for long. It is very possible that you might be moving to take advantage of a new job opportunity. If you accept this job offer, it would be a clear step up the ladder of success. See how things turn out.

Romantically, your best part of the month comes very early and very late. Mars, the planet of attraction, will remain in fire sign Aries, a good spot for you until May 15. Next month we have three eclipses: June 1, 15, and July 1. The first one will help your love life, for it falls in your house of true love. It could actually bring a fateful meeting that sets your heart racing, but with eclipses you never know. Stay tuned - all good things in time. Eclipses are a bit unpredictable and act a little like Uranus (volatile), so you will have to wait and see what comes up.

This month’s new moon, May 3, will be the first indication that when it comes to family and property, good luck is about to head your way.

All indications are that May will turn out to be a banner month for you. Last month, in April, many planets moved into your fourth house of home and family and asked you to think more deeply about your lifestyle and living situation. With so many planets in your home sector, you had little choice but to drop everything and attend to home and family-related questions quickly. There appeared to be certain urgency about what was happening, with deadlines to meet and many things to do.

The problem was, among the five planets meeting there, Mercury was retrograde from March 30 to April 23. That made for a bad time to sign contracts or leases, or to buy or sell property, as a few examples. It was certainly not the time to make any long-term decisions about your future. Things that looked sure and solid were changing faster than you could say “sample furniture sale.”

As you enter May, you may feel a bit deflated and worn to the bone. No worries - you’ve lost no important opportunities, even though you may fear that you did. You were smart to slow down last month, for now you’ll be able to get a clear picture of the road ahead. You will get more stable options too, so all round, you will be the winner in the long run.

Everyone needs to nurture the private side of life at times, and this will be your time, dear Capricorn. Do hurry to gather up these golden rays - there will not be a moment to lose!

Have a look at the planets filling your home sector: Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck; Uranus, planet of change and creativity; Venus, planet of romance, grace, and beauty; Mercury, planet of communication and news; and Mars, planet of action. Mars’ presence in your fourth house until May 15 suggests that there will be noise in your home, with people coming and going in the first half of May. You may be moving furniture, or making some structural changes to the rooms, or simply painting and doing repairs. Or, you may be interviewing new roommates, or the noise may come from contractors or cable guys. If you decide to entertain, the increased “noise” may be the music and buzz at a party you choose to give (do it over the weekend of May 21-22). Once Jupiter moves on to another sign in June, he will not be back to this area of your chart until 2022, so you will want to get active now.

One of your most sterling days will be May 1, a Sunday, when Mars and Jupiter will align in rare conjunction. Although Mars and Jupiter meet every two years, for some reason, these two planets have not met in Aries since 1975! What a wonderful day you will have for home or family-related actions! Mars will see that you are energized and excited, so great - make those choices and announce them! Some Capricorns will be moving into a new space, and that would be great timing.

Your next sparkling day will be May 10, when Jupiter will meet with Venus and Mercury, in your house of home and family. This will be a magical day for home related opportunities and actions, for you would find your home center filled with wonder and light. What a great day this would be to buy or lease a house or apartment, choose new furniture, or entertain friends with a party small or large. This day has “success” written all over it.

I know your career has been moving more slowly than you would like, but you are making progress, and on this day, May 10, you should hear great news, thanks to Jupiter’s link to Venus. Indeed, you could easily hear exciting professional news, and that would happen on May 10, or possibly the next day, May 11.

Feather your nest first, dear Capricorn, before most of your supportive planets move into other houses. Mars will depart your fourth house of home on May 11, Venus and Mercury will make their exit on May 15, and Jupiter will say goodbye on June 4. If possible, aim to finish off all your most important decisions involving home and family by May 11.

Uranus will remain in your home sector until 2019, bringing changes to your home situation for several years to come. That may be shocking news, so you may want to read that sentence again! Yes, Uranus will stay until 2019! You may move more than once during that time, or have other unusual circumstances in regard to your home or family that would come up from time to time. For example, if you were adopted, you may locate your birth parents if you have been looking, perhaps by happenstance when you suddenly get a valuable clue to their whereabouts. Or you may get a big opportunity to move overseas when you are given a big promotion. When Uranus is involved, news is often completely unanticipated.

There is no doubt that you’ve handled a much higher level of stress than usual in April. Many planets stacking in Aries can be tension producing to a Capricorn because Aries, a fire sign, does not blend easily with your earth sign element. This would have been true even if all the news were exciting and upbeat. Even good news, like buying a new house or getting married, can require adjustment and bring temporary stress.

During the first part of May, you will feel pressure and demands on your time too, for when planets are at tough angles, they push us forward quite assertively. Still, they also give us enormous energy, so the universe can be counted on to give you precisely the tools you need to cope with what it requires of you.

Capricorns that are not moving or buying or renting property may have been focused on a family situation that has not been easy to solve. If you recently felt that being with a certain family member has become too much of a good thing, relax. Soon you will be able to let down your guard. The heavy emphasis on family will rapidly fade, as soon as the second half of May.

As you see, this emphasis on family and home cuts two ways. It will be good news to hear these aspects will fade if you found a family member difficult and argumentative lately. There is another reason why you should act in May and not leave things to June or July. May will be the more productive month for these matters. You will move into eclipse season soon, with no less than three eclipses due within the span of four weeks: June 1, June 15, and July 1. It is never a good idea to make important decisions at eclipse time as things tend not to turn out as you would expect. Now let’s turn our attention to romance, a huge trend that is only starting up now! I have been saving your best news for last!

If you are dating someone special, the new moon of May 3 will bring a flow of tender emotions to the surface. If you are single and not dating, you have an excellent chance of meeting your one true love in the weeks to come.

I am SO optimistic about your prospects for finding true love, for aside from a beautiful new moon on May 3, you also have good fortune Jupiter in your true love sector from June 4, and Jupiter is set to stay twelve months!
