This will be an exciting, usual month that will put a very strong emphasis on money. As a Pisces, you are by nature not materialistic, and so, at times this month, you might find the emphasis on your financial life a bit annoying. Most Pisces feel that pounding their calculator is a necessary evil, not a favorite activity. Not all Pisces feel this way, of course, but many do. Even though you may not enjoy working on financial matters, oddly, Pisces is usually excellent when dealing with money. You are a savvy negotiator, a practical and trustworthy manager, and an astute risk taker. No wonder Forbes magazine has for years listed Pisces as the sign most likely to produce millionaires.

Now, in April and next month, in May, you will find yourself within a golden circle of monetary reward, unlike anything you’ve seen in your life so far. With no less than SIX heavenly bodies out of a possible 10 filling your second house of income, you will have all kinds of financial discussions swirling around you.

As the most creative sign of the zodiac, you’d probably rather think about ways to improve your creative project than think about your bottom line. Because you are so intent on working on the quality of your product or service, money tends to follow you as a by-product of your efforts. Things have a way of working out for Pisces. Still, even you will be shocked by how powerfully things unfold this month. You may be bewildered to learn that someone wants to discuss a deal that involves quite a bit of money. Finding the fair amount is what will become the topic of the day and at times it may not be easy to agree. You have nothing to fear. All the work you put in, over the course of many years, seems to be coming to a point of reward, wrapped in a beautiful turquoise box and tied with a big white bow.

What makes April so astounding is that planets will be stacking up in Aries in a way we have not seen in years. For you, this means that the new moon, April 3, will set off enormously important conversations about money. The kind of funds you will be discussing is compensation to you that you have earned, not a loan, venture capital, or a mortgage. You may be discussing a raise or new salary or some sort of settlement.

It is alternatively possible that you will also be purchasing something expensive, like a house or automobile, this month, or writing a check for college tuition. If you are making a large outlay, it appears you will find the funds you need and will do so on time, and with ease.

Although the universe will be speaking clearly that money will be your focus (or should I say, obsession?), the conversations the various planets will have with each other will be varied, ranging from very fortunate to frighteningly adverse. There is no way you will be able to sort out the various twists and turns you will encounter quickly, so it looks as though things won’t be settled until late April or more likely in May. That’s good, for that will be your best timing for a number of reasons.

You might be wondering as you read this if you would be risking a loss by waiting until late April or May to make a final decision. Not at all - you will only gain power and control if you go slowly. In an unusual situation, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, and Uranus (FIVE planets) that are in your income sector now will remain in your income sector next month, in May. (The Sun and new moon will move on to Taurus, but they are the only heavenly bodies that will!) Further, in May you won’t experience any of the quirky fits and starts that you may encounter in April’s first three weeks. In contrast, May will bring stability, calm, and outstanding favor to you, Pisces!

Let me show you what I am seeing.

The new moon will appear on April 3 and get the ball rolling. That new moon will conjoin Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, and that is an excellent sign that a generous amount of cash is currently being earmarked for you. Jupiter was your ancient ruling planet, before your modern ruler, Neptune, was discovered. Astrologers still look to Jupiter (as well as Neptune) to formulate your forecast. The fact that Jupiter is standing close to this new moon is a very good sign that despite crosscurrents in the air, things should go your way in the end. Jupiter has not visited your solar second house of income since 1999, so this is a rare visit, but soon Jupiter will leave, on June 4.

Jupiter first entered your second house of earned income on January 22 of this year, but if you have not seen the full benefit of his benefic presence, that would be understandable for one reason. In order to unlock Jupiter’s goodness, you always need a new moon to crack the code, but the caveat is, it has to be the right new moon. Until now you have not had precisely the right one, but you will with the new moon April 3.

Furthermore, on April 5, two days later, you will experience one of your very best financial days of the year when Jupiter and the Sun will be meeting in conjunction. I often call this configuration one that produces “the luckiest day of the year.” This day could hint at the fulfillment of the promise the benefic planet Jupiter had made to you in early 2011 - that is, that this year would become your banner year for money and success. Still, as encouraging as April 5 will be, do not make any firm decisions or commitments quite yet. Here is why.

(A note to Pisces astrologers: The Sun and Jupiter will meet on April 6, a day later, but the moon will be void on April 6, rendering it useless for meetings, as not much will stick or be decided. For that reason, I recommend making April 5 your day to set big appointments, as the energy of the Sun and Jupiter will still be building steam as they move to approach and finalize their conjunction.)

Mercury will be among the planets in Aries filling your second house of income, but will be retrograde from March 30 to April 23. Any decisions you make during that phase or even in the days that closely cluster those dates may prove problematic. You may encounter a few glitches that will need to be discussed. Don’t rush, as time is on your side.

Because Mercury rules negotiations, communication, perception, understanding, translation, memory, and other intellectual activities, it is not the right time to make any major decisions. Mercury also rules all phases of commerce, too, so if you buy or sell a big-ticket item, you are likely to be unhappy about your purchase later. When it comes to signing off on deals, or even giving a verbal nod, you need to wait until after April 23. You can have discussions, but you must not come to final conclusions.

In the meantime, the offer may improve, or you may get another counteroffer. Things work out in mysterious ways during Mercury retrograde, but it is always to your advantage to wait until Mercury has regulated its orbit.

Mars will be among the planets in your income house too from April 2 to May 15, suggesting that your expenses may climb in April and May, perhaps because you are making a large outlay of cash to purchase something important, as I spoke about earlier in your report. Or, the presence of Mars may indicate you are now in a dispute about money that you are trying to work out. If so, during April and part of May you will strive to find accord. Mars can make the discussions heated at times, so you need to be ready for that.

Uranus, the planet of unexpected developments, is now in Aries and your house of earned income, too. As you see, you have a whole family of chattering, noisy, and nosey little planets ready to put in their two cents about any money matter you are discussing. That’s what may make deciding what to do a bit complicated. By himself, Uranus is known to vacillate, shock, and even bring strange situations sometimes. News can go either way, good or bad, depending on the nature, angle, and conversation Uranus will have with another planet.

I am a bit concerned that Mars and Uranus will combine forces on April 3 (the same day as the new moon) for together they can produce a hot, explosive outburst of tempers that could spiral out of control. Still, with Uranus you never know what to expect - it is never what you are looking at. I suppose it is possible you might find you agree on all the points easily and quickly - so much so that you might be shocked! Or, the other party may make a sudden offer out of the blue, at an odd time. When it comes to money, expect the unexpected, especially within a week of April 3.

Saturn will stand across the skies, at 180 degrees, and stare at all the planets in your second house of earned income. Saturn first entered your house of “other people’s money” (eighth house) for a long stay last July 2010, and will remain there until October 2012. Saturn will oppose the new moon of April 3, suggesting that either any money you receive will be needed to pay another financial obligation you have, or that the other party will be very stingy and you will have to arm wrestle the money out of the other party’s fist. It may be a bit of both, and I am sure you are laughing as I say this because you knew this already!

Even so, Jupiter is powerful and he will be with you until June 4, which is significant. If you didn’t have Jupiter in Aries, you would have a much different, and far less attractive, financial outlook. But you DO have him at your side, and that makes all the difference! Jupiter will move to Taurus on June 4, so it behooves you to make your financial agreement prior to that date.

As you see, being your best friend and astrologer this month has truly tested my skills, as the picture in the sky is one that is giving a whole range of mixed messages that I have had to sort out for you, dear Pisces.

The full moon of April 17 will also emphasize money (can you believe this month’s forecast?), but only this time it’ll emphasize a different type of funds - those usually received in big chunks, not parsed out in weekly checks. That is because the full moon will light the eighth house of other peoples’ money, not your second house of earned income.

Your eighth house governs all types of financial obligations and outside income, including taxes due and tax refunds coming to you. Oddly, this full moon, operative plus or minus four days from April 17, coincides with tax day in America. You may be paying your taxes, but hopefully, you will be due a nice refund instead!

This house so lit on April 17 also covers commissions, court settlements, inheritance, prize money, bonuses, mortgage, refinancing plans, tuition financial aid, scholarships, child support, alimony, and the resulting division of property in a divorce. Included too are insurance payouts, and the like, so any of these areas may be active this month for you. Neptune will be friendly to this full moon, suggesting you will be agreeable to the results you get.

Most people think of Venus as the planet of love, but this graceful planet also rules money and expensive gifts, so when Venus tours Aries on April 21 to May 15, you will have another financially-oriented planet to work hard on your behalf. Dear Pisces, although you seem to have a few conflicting messages from the planets when it comes to money, I feel you will come out head and shoulders above the rest of the pack. After all, Jupiter will be guarding your interests like a bodyguard, and that’s no small advantage.

I spoke of Neptune just now, and as you may know, Neptune is your ruling planet, and therefore any movements or conversations that Neptune has are always important to you as a Pisces. Of course! It is Neptune’s job to take good care of you.

In April there is a staggering development - Neptune is about to move into Pisces for the first time in your lifetime on April 4. Neptune has not been in Pisces since 1847-1862! Although Neptune will stay a short time - only until August 4 - it will have a big impact on you. Neptune will retrograde back to Aquarius in August 2011, but will come back to Pisces, for good, in February 2012. Once Neptune returns, he will settle into Pisces for 14 years, until 2026!

This represents a huge shift in your life, and one you will adore. Your face will be “out there” from now on, so get used to being recognized! Your creativity is about to be rewarded in a big way, and each success will lead you to bigger and better successes. Neptune rules images, so it’s possible you will be on TV, in magazines, and talked about quite a bit in the media. You are a modest soul, so as your higher profile goes up, it may require an adjustment from you, but it is one you will readily do, for it’s all about how well you are succeeding! Your ship is about to come into port, dear Pisces! Ask clients and people who do work for you to notify you in writing if any overages are anticipated so you can sign off on them. Mercury will be retrograde in your financial house from March 30 to April 23, so financial overages are possible, and checks may be late. Continue to send clients who owe you reminder statements, or you may be waiting forever!

Despite these little glitches, your outlook for making money is very strong. In fact, you won’t have the incredibly bright financial outlook after June 4, for that is when Jupiter, the giver of gifts, will leave this area of your chart. So while this lucrative phase lasts, confidently name your price, bid high on competitive job estimates, and be wise about managing your money. Most Pisces prefer to work in their own business, and if that describes you, you will find others will clamor for your goods or services.

One day to watch for very good financial news will be when Jupiter meets with the Sun on April 5 and 6, with April 5 your special day. This annual meeting of the Sun and Jupiter is what I call the luckiest day of the year - use it for talks on a very important project!

The full moon of April 17 will bring news of a financial obligation that has to be paid. You will need to send that check within four days of this date. Because this date falls close to tax day in the USA, you may need to pay a sum. Still, you will have the money to cover any bill that will be due at this time - be glad for that. Perhaps this full moon will bring you a tax refund or an insurance company payout - better yet! If you are in court over a financial issue, a deal will be in the works that favors you near this date and plans for the payment to you spelled out. Do not to sign papers until after April 23.

Romantically, Venus will be in Pisces until April 20, so the first three weeks of the month should provide you with the most fun.

With the incredibly strong emphasis on money, don’t let a person’s income and wealth dictate your choice of who to date. You are not a materialistic person, so all these financial talks swirling about you is unusual. You, more than most, know that the best things in life are those that money can’t buy. Don’t reject a prospective partner because of a lack for lucrative earning ability! Money can come and go, but true love lasts forever.

Last month, remarkably, Uranus, your ruling planet, moved into Aries too, and has taken up residence in your third house of communication until early 2019! Astrologers always look to see where a person’s ruling planet is traveling and the conversations that planet is having with other planets, for your ruler’s activities is a reliable indicator of where your focus is concentrated. Uranus is the “higher octave” of Mercury, taking Mercury’s gift for writing, thinking, and communicating into a new realm, that of innovation and even of genius. For the first and only time in your life, you will have Jupiter (luck), Uranus (genius), Mercury (news, agreements), Mars (action), the Sun (favor from authority), and the vital ingredient, the new moon, all crowded together in your third house. It all starts April 3.

You have such great aspects to succeed - the time is now! Later, on April 21, Venus will enter Aries, too, to add a touch of grace and beauty and help make the process fun. Dear Aquarius, you seem to have it all.

The one little problem is that Mercury, the planet of intellect, perception, communication, negotiation, and commerce, is currently retrograde from March 30 to April 23. This means you can stage talks, but not come to any final agreement just yet. It is also not the time to hand in a manuscript or sign an agent. Whenever Mercury is retrograde, we need to backtrack, so you may, for example, have to correct a manuscript now or tweak a marketing plan.

In all forms of creative effort, there is always a need to redo, polish, correct, and shape the work. This is the perfect activity to do now, while Mercury is out of phase. If you are in sales, it is time to revisit former customers for more business - the clients and customers who have always supported you will now represent a better source of profit than the new ones will. This will change after April 23, but why not do your own little form of customer / client appreciation month by taking your best clients to lunch or dinner?

Planets in Aries are always very assertive, never passive, for Aries’ energy is strong and masculine. You will have seven out of ten heavenly bodies circulating in this sign this month, so you will be inspired by Aries’ competitive, pioneering, and entrepreneurial energy. The need to be your own boss will be very strong now, but if you decide to open your own business, apply (for incorporation, proprietorship, or other forms) AFTER Mercury is finished retrograding on April 23.

Aries is a fire sign that “falls in love” with new concepts quickly. Aries is impatient, so you will be, too. This is not only because so many heavenly bodies will visit Aries in April, but also because among the little crowd of planets in Aries will be your RULER, Uranus, which is not due to leave Aries until 2019. In coming years, the yearning to have the freedom to run your own business may become almost irresistible. The problem is, Aries’ energy is known to be brash and impulsive, but if you jump into a business without doing your due diligence, you might be inviting disaster. Be aware of the rules, laws, and standards you will be expected to follow. A meeting with a lawyer and accountant is, of course, basic to your foundation.

Saturn is currently in Libra, and this month he is staring at all the planets in Aries from his perch in your ninth house 180 degrees away. Saturn happens to be precisely opposite the Sun and new moon of April 3, so that’s significant to note.

Saturn’s job, as the teacher planet, is to hold your feet to the fire, to make sure you meet obligations, and to be certain you are willing to learn new skills. You must also be open to the advice of elders and VIPs, as this is also indicated by Saturn’s position. Actually, in this instance, Saturn will be your friend, for with Saturn standing in the doorway, restricting your movements, he can actually be a big help to you. Saturn will prevent you from rushing into a business idea before it has been properly formulated. By putting a few obstacles in your path, you will slow down - and this is good!

If you are an Aquarian with a birthday that falls within four days of February 3, you are benefiting in the most outstanding way from Saturn, as he is in perfect angle to your Sun. The decisions you will be making at month’s end, and in May, will form a solid foundation for the future. As you recall, I also mentioned this Aquarius birthday above, because you will feel the effects of this month’s new moon, too.

You might say, “You ask me to wait to take advantage of all this. But if I wait for Mercury to stop retrograding, won’t I miss all the outstanding opportunities that are sprouting up in the communication arts in my chart?” No, you won’t miss any opportunities - just the opposite, you will gain by waiting! What makes this period so unusual and so exciting is that most of the little happy planets gathering in your third house, all in fire sign Aries that relate so beautifully to your air sign element of Aquarius, will stay in Aries another month. This is extraordinary and almost never happens!

(I will add as an aside, that you are an air sign, even though you are symbolized by the water bearer. The water bearer is pouring knowledge, not water, into the ether that surrounds the earth, making you one of the most intellectual and probing signs of the zodiac. Yours is the sign of the scientist, dear Aquarius, which is why you so often do well in high tech, futuristic fields, even if you are not scientifically oriented.)

Often when we move from month to month, the planets move from sign to sign too, but in this rare instance, this is not going to happen that way now. While it is true that the Sun and new moon will have to fulfill their obligation to move to Taurus immediately, the other little planets, who are so excited to see one another and celebrate your ruler’s entry into Aries for the first time since 1935, will linger at the bar to have another round of drinks and another order of appetizers.

Mercury found a way to prolong his visit to Aries and to stay at this fun little party by being in retrograde - he won’t leave Aries until May 15. Beautiful Venus, who had to arrive fashionably late at this gathering, is graciously planning to stay in Aries until May 15, too. (How can you have a good party without Venus present? She provides all the fun, conversation, gorgeous clothes, and all the delicious food and drink!) Mars will keep the action going by staying until May 11, and Jupiter, the great benefactor who everyone adores, will remain until June 4. As said, eccentric, brilliant, and innovative Uranus will stay in Aries for many years, until 2019. As you see, you’ll have plenty of support to get your communications project off the ground next month in May, one of the best months of all of 2011. (I love May!)

This enormous emphasis on your third house rules agreements and the signing of contracts, too, and your best date for that will be next month, May 11, when Jupiter meets with Mercury in Aries. Perfect! Gee, you have one of the best charts for signing a contract of any of the signs, but it has to be NEXT month!

The third house also rules sisters and brothers and cousins, so you might be doing something special in April or May with a sibling or other close kin. For example, you may be buying a house together, or going into business together. Or it may be that you are planning something simpler, like taking a trip together. That would be a good idea now, as long as you don’t sign anything together until after April 23. Alternatively, your sibling may be making headline news in the family, and you’ll want to know all about what’s happening.

Watch out for a possible altercation with a sibling, cousin, or neighbor on April 3, when Mars and Uranus conjoin. This very hot aspect could produce angry outbursts. If you have always had a tenuous relationship with your brother or sister, this would not be the time to bring up a sensitive subject that might trigger World War III. Tempers often do flair when Aries and Uranus combine energies. This same aspect could have a more physical manifestation (one never knows), so if you will be traveling, make sure your car is in tiptop shape by having a tune-up. Don’t text or talk while driving, ever, and don’t drive while you are sleepy. Make sure your car’s tires have the right amount of air, and that you have a spare tire in the trunk, with a flashlight and other supplies.

Travel is very possible this month, either to places close by (early in the month) or to a greater distance at the full moon April 17, plus or minus four days. Neptune will be in a good angle to that full moon, suggesting you’d more likely travel for business purposes and profit from your efforts. Creative enterprises are the most favored at this full moon, as Neptune is the patron planet of all things imaginative and artistic.

If you were born later in your sign, within four days of February 17, you will feel the effects of the full moon April 17 more than the new moon.

In your career, no matter what point in Aquarius your birthday happens to fall, the ruler of your solar tenth house of fame and achievement, Pluto, is about to retrograde, from April 9 to September 18. During that phase, concentrate on the projects and people you have already begun to develop rather than new ones - they are the ones that will yield the greatest progress and success. Once you get to September 18, your career will be on fire again, and you will again be ready to pioneer into new realms. Late October and November is due to be a banner time for career success.

Romantically, it appears travel would be the very best way to fan the fires of love, whether you have an existing love relationship you would like to strengthen or you wish to find new love. Go to a mountainous terrain - you may even enjoy a camping trip or one that will get you closer to the great outdoors - and be very active. Hiking, mountain climbing, water rafting (if you are trained), sprinting, and other sports may appeal to you now. Just remember, with Mars conjunct Uranus on April 3, operative for about a week, be careful not to overestimate your limits. Wear a helmet if you do sports that recommend one, as both Mars and Uranus are in Aries, the sign of the head.

With the full moon in Libra, the sign of the collaborator, you might enjoy being away with your one-and-only over the weekend of April 16-17. The last weekend of the month, April 30 to May 1, would be a good time to go away, too.

If in the course of your job you need to write a report, manuscript, critical review, legal brief (or just about any other writing project), or if you work in editing, proofing, marketing, sales, PR, programming, web development, scientific experimentation, or strategic planning, in April you will be on top of your game. Others will have to stay up very late to keep up with you! Remarkably, this trend will slide straight into May and help you shine next month, too. Make your time count!

I didn’t mention this earlier and almost forgot to tell you something important about your finances. Here it is!

Neptune, moving into Pisces for the first time since 1847 to 1862, will begin to occupy time in your second house of earned income (salary) from April 4 to August 4. After August 4, Neptune will retreat back to Aquarius, where it has been since 1998. Although Neptune will only be in this house this year until August 4, when he returns in February 2012, you will have fourteen years of his influence. You’ll be glad you took the time now to find ways to manage money wisely.

Travel is forming such a huge theme in April that romance is due to bloom in the biggest and brightest way while away on a trip as well. The perfect trip would be an active one that would bring you camping, or would conquer a physical goal (such as to win a race, or learn a new sport, like rock climbing). The new moon April 3, in Aries, accompanied by many other planetary friends in the same sign - the Sun, Uranus, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter - is extraordinary, and will set the emphasis on communication and travel.

Although April 3 sets up a good trend, the opposition of Saturn to the Sun and Mars conjunct Uranus on this day will make you both tired and cranky. It’s not the day to plan a big trip to see a client or to have any sort of demanding trip. In fact, you’re likely to have an argument on it!

This is extraordinary, and shows how powerfully Jupiter can help you click things into place. This is your most benefic aspect, and you will want to harness its energy. After Jupiter leaves your home sector on June 4, he will not be back to this part of your chart again until 2022. You would be wise to use this time to maximum advantage.

In the meantime, I would like you to watch what happens the day Jupiter conjoins the Sun on April 6. That day has what astrologers call a void moon, meaning not much can stick, so instead, I will underscore April 5 as your most fortunate day of the year. While you can’t sign or seal any deals on this day (Mercury will be retrograde), you can get very, very lucky. It’s possible you’ll find your dream space, or get a loan from your parents for a down payment on a house. For sure, in April and May family support should be very strong.

With so many planets in Aries in hard angle to your Sun, as well as to your ruler, Saturn, which will be in opposition to the transiting Sun and new moon, I will admit that you may feel tense at times. Concentrating on your career and your home at the same time will not be easy, and I understand that. Yet April and May will be the only months in the coming DECADE that will offer such superb assistance in home related matters, and of the two months, May will be your best - simply divine. In both months, Jupiter will be standing guard and will work hard to protect all your interests. One good side of Mercury retrograde is that if you had put in a prior bid, you may be invited back to make another one now, with greater success. The same would be true in reverse if you are the seller - you may decide to invite someone back to bid a second time, and this time reach agreement. Mercury in retrograde is a good time to go back to the past to strengthen an old bond or relationship, but it is not the time to start a brand new relationship.

During Mercury retrograde you CAN successfully schedule repairs, paint, continue ongoing renovations, or even move house if you signed papers prior to March 30. However, the period from March 30 to April 23 would not be the time to close on a house, choose a new contractor, or commence work on a new project. It is also not the time to buy new furniture, appliances, electronics, a new car, or anything else expensive.

The fact that Mars is part of the gang of six in this part of your chart is a reliable indication of just how determined you will be to settle home-related plans. Mars will help you throughout April by giving you high energy and motivation to plow forward until May 11. Mars has a way of making things happen - fast!

Venus, the planet that beautifies all that it touches, will be in Aries too, from April 21 to May 15, so again, you will have plenty of time to make your home beautiful. Do things like change the batteries in your fire alarm / carbon monoxide detectors, and ask an electrician to check that you have the right wiring to handle all the electronic items you need. Use only reputable brands of appliances (small and large), and if you use candles, never leave one burning in a room unattended. Keep walkways clear at night for the safety of you and others. Uranus will remain in your fourth house until 2019, a place he took up in your chart last month. By setting up safety standards now, you will be ready for the coming years.

Knowing most people will be a bit more sensitive at this time of the month (near April 3), you might want to avoid broaching difficult subjects with a parent or other person connected with your home, lest you trigger an angry reaction.

I am sorry to have to say this, for I know everyone strives for supreme harmony and peace at home.
