Adrian Perez - Cellar Master

Adrian grew up in San Luis Obispo, CA and went on to earn a B.S. in Microbiology from U.C. Santa Barbara. Not ready or willing to devote a life to a lab or research, he found a passion for food and wine accidentally through work at Trader Joe’s. It was here he met Mac’s wife, Kristina, and was first introduced to the McPrice Myers wines. Socks knocked off, knees effectively buckled, it was at this moment he decided he needed to know more about the winemaking process, from grape to bottle.

After working a couple bottling lines for Barrel 27 and McPrice Myers in 2008 and 2009, and after countless cases of empty glass, he concluded this was a lifestyle and career he could get on board with. Adrian worked a fall harvest internship with Barrel 27 in 2010, learning the basics, and he’s been with us ever since. Typically you’ll find him tinkering in the back or on the forklift moving wine from point A to B, but you’ll also find him behind the bar looking to spark conversation with hard working folks like yourselves.
